tomcctv replied to BradsbadatCameras's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi you will find it will be a firmware problem …. Your recorder is over 6 years old just some things to check …. Are your hik cameras set to h264 … or h265 … your recorder is h264 only ic realtime no longer use that China supplier anymore and don’t give support …. Ic real-time uk closed your recorder is infact a dahua nvr but I would not attempt any 3rd party software install like most dahua it will brick -
Hi then not being able to remove camera time is a problem its the recorders time that’s important it’s does the time line and the watermark/ signature so that’s the time which needs to be used….. and it’s also displayed on the monitor buying cctv is a mine field but if you take into account there are only a few manufacturers the headaches are looking at rebadged units take a look at your pm
-
Hi sounds like you have the time switched on at the camera as well as recorder nvr ….. menu … edit camera switch off time display the reason why I say camera time is the recording time needs to be right which is the one that’s logged at hard drive hilook is hikvision which are troublesome at the best of times ….. I stopped fitting them over 10 years ago

Hi ANNKE are rebadged systems so could be a hikvision or dahua ……. TVT is a manufacturer and with dahua and Kim problems I would give them both a miss ….. it’s cheap all over the uk in some cases 60% off ….. and that’s for a reason one of the best systems on the market is the TVT It will outlast the ANNKE and much better app and easy for you to install -

Hi good budget ….. you will be surprised the picture quality just by replacing the old DM recorder for your budget I would get a 8 way so you can still use your existing cameras and add more HD cameras when budget allows -
Hi and the hybrid unit does all and in your budget £165
-
Hi if in the uk I would look at the viper (TVT) 8 way 5mp dvr BB I have many of these systems out and never any problems it is the only unit on the market that is fully controllable via phones pads and pcs semding footage is as simple as an email direct with 8 cameras you will get 29 days with 1tb the app used is SuperLive plus

Hi yes the twist plug on camera head (coax ) protocol is my term for both pelco D 9600 01 address 0 as your resistor end line (shows in your picture …….. if you only have 1 ptz resistor can go
-
Hi even with wrong protocol you would still have video but it’s 9600 does the ptz move on command? video lose could also be a bad bnc connection or it could be something as simple as iris settings which will give a white or black screen
-
Hi if fuse blown …. Yes it will kill everything till fuse is replaced it is also worth looking at the 240v income to control box see if the is dyed or mcb/rcd they are strong ptz cameras I have not had any failures to get into ptz menu it is a 99 command from keyboard or dvr we’re are you based
-
Hi that is an old VCL dome and is not quite wired as it should be but it looks like in your picture of the head wiring you have a broken brown wire infact in a few places as well as the blue/white these areas need looking at first your board is also protected via a fuse which may have blown as a result of the cables mentioned……. Fuse is in the black fuse carrier next to power plugin lead on circuit board

False motion detection for REX
tomcctv replied to Kebo2r's topic in General Access Control Discussion
Can just see this turning into a sales pitch well that is the job of the sensor or to be more accurate it controls the lock to open microwave will only give more range which is not a good thing ….. that it’s self makes it more unreliable -
Hi what part of the world are you in this is something you need to act on fast pos should not be going through a basic internet connection …. Basically your not protecting your customer’s information can you also name the makes of recorders you have and the app you use if you have used the qr code or P2P setup then your firewall has been disabled and this is a security risk to you and your customers Your restaurants networks need to be made secure and one way is using a managed switch….. to be used on everything but your cctv … which always stay separate
