Box camera with PAL and NTSC suggestions?

Hi. iansmith. i was asked a while back to install a camera to film a darts match. the customer wanted to display the match on a big screen. i used a cnb camera and a 5mm-50mm lens. worked fine. http://uk.images.search.yahoo.com/images/view?back=http%3A%2F%2Fuk.images.search.yahoo.com%2Fsearch%2Fimages%3Fp%3Dcnb%2Bcctv%2Bcamera%26ei%3DUTF-8%26rd%3Dr1%26fr%3Dyfp-t-702%26fr2%3Dtab-web&w=100&h=54&imgurl=dvrmaster.com%2Fimages%2FCNB_SecurityCamera_G1315Ns.jpg&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Fdvrmaster.com%2F&size=1k&name=CNB+SecurityCame...&p=cnb+cctv+camera&oid=94882c07cdd63b78&fr2=tab-web&no=5&tt=66&sigr=10l9s6sva&sigi=11ji7i5ub&sigb=139v7250l

    dvr card install

hi. ginogag. its not as easy as sending you manual. i have been doing cctv for 30 years and i would not like to build my own. you need things like the right motherboard graphics cards googles that connect to dingdongs. plus a very good dvr card. and its a no no from ebay thats why they are on ebay. they are some very good guys on here who know what you need and can give you very good info on gear. lets face it the guys who build on here passed off jobs from nassa because it was to easy...............building your own is BL**DY HARD

  10. Hi lastboyscout. if your old cameras work then use them and in some cases old cameras are alot better than some of the cheap stuff on the market today. but i would say upgrade to a new dvr if you wish to have remote viewing on laptop or cellphone. i am in the uk but i buy my dvrs from america i use avermedia you can see a demo on my site at http://www.cctvengineer.com/page3.html this is not an expensive system but it is very good as you can see from the demo. also here is a link to a dvr spec http://www.avermedia.com/AVerDiGi/Product/Detail.aspx?id=86 if you also go to avermedia usa on google they will let you know who is closest to you. hope this info helps. regards Tom

    System for my home

Hi. Mark. i have used many types of 4 way dvrs some good but many cheap ones are just a waste of money. for the past 3 years i have only used avermedia and they do a very good d1 real time 25fps and sound ptz control / internet and mobile viewer. take a look at the link. were are you based ???. http://www.avermedia.com/AVerDiGi/Product/Detail.aspx?id=151
  15. Hi. steve. if you have never done a ptz camera before i.e your dennard 2050wp then trying to explain in a forum is going to be hard work were are you based ???
  16. hi. steve. what dvr are you using with your ptz. and what you say about after 30 secs it goes on a tour. thats what its set up to do when powered up it sets it focus and finds its start point. you will be best using the vcl controller. but you will need the factory password to set it up. hold the set button down for 10secs then enter 121. if you still have problems i can get you the manual.
  17. hi. jamesd. i think soundy is spot on with his info..... and its not volts you need to test at camera end its amps. i would also power the cameras from garage if you can. and that way you could add another 2 cameras to your system with your cat5
  18. i have used strob lights in the past. have a look at link http://www.electrotec-alarms.co.uk/12-volt-strobes.html

  20. hi aliciac. in the uk the best port to use is around 5550. bt/virgin/talktalk/ will keep blocking other ports. so try setting your port 5550. yes kent is far away but i am in that area at least once a month but i think changing your port will sortout your problem.
  21. hi. aliciac. sorry its been a while since i have been on here. how far are you from chester ???

    foggy image

like i said once focus is set it is set for day or night. you focus the lens. nothing to do with day or night opperation. so what your saying chris is after every install you have to go back at night to focus the cameras again.
  23. hi just got a dvr (avermedia) on iphone real time. i used one of these. http://www.slingmedia.com/go/products

    foggy image

hi stuhar. it wont be the focus once focus is set its set. you say you have a street light by your camera ??? this could be a problem......cameras with ir also have to turn b/w at night the street light might just be giving your camera to much light to let it turn b/w ..........so it sounds like your camera is viewing ir with colour which will show bad pic as ir and colour is no good. another problem is over power check your power supply
