hi. alicia. the internet side is easy. the ip you posted is a local ip address you can only use this when connected to the router by wire or wireless that the cctv is connected. away from your home you need your service ip. go to google from the router your cctv is on and type myip. it will give you your s/p ip then try http://your ip address:80 -
2 wire i have done so many hi. scorpion. the 2 wire will not find any ip of anything you plug into it. what it will do under attached devices it will give your dvr a mac address why 2 wires do this i dont know. so you need to find your mac address in its drop down menu click on it then you have the option to give it a local ip then it is port forward as usual

tomcctv replied to bpzle's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
hi. if you wish to add cameras at a later date then you are best with the avermedia either the sa6416e or the rack mount sa9000e. both are very good dvrs. both have face finder and both have very good pos. very good speeds over the internet and easy mobile viewer set-up. if you wish to remote dial into one of my systems to see the frame rate then please send me a email. i can send you the ip for a 16 way with standard cameras and i also have a 16 way with 6 ip cameras. http://www.cctvengineer.com/page3.html here is a small demo of a 16 -

tomcctv replied to stevie_nottm's topic in Digital Video Recorders
hi steve. i am in chester. i have systems in longeaton and nottingham citycentre. i use avermedia great for mobile viewing and does lots more compered to most. take a look at my website. -
jj27 were are you located. is your system in a place were people can play with it ?? if so set it up again reboot and then take keyboard and mouse away and see how it goes. you can also check in the log and see what has been happening. it will even tell you who has been logging into your system. i know this is basic stuff but you need to find out in its human error or machine problems. stopping and starting recording sounds human error. have a look on my website under about us you will see a pic of me with andrew he is software designer for avermedia i am having a meeting with him thursday i will show him your post.

Are DVR cards over?
tomcctv replied to Renegade's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
dvr cards are very good and is the way to go. but and a BIG BUTT. if you or the person building your system knows what to build and build it right then you will have a system that will last for years. get someone who thinks they can build you a system then its going to cost you AND COST YOU TIME AND TIME AGAIN. I dont build i use sa and eb avermedia systems. the nv avermedia is a card build system and built right is a fantastic system. contact guys on here like soundy or trocandio read some of there posts and you will build one right firstime thet seem to know what there are talking about when it comes to building -
