Help please, I need a better standalone 16CH
suky replied to ghostrider2142's topic in Digital Video Recorders
When did you purchase it? For H9516UV DVR has upgraded recently, so there are two types, they may sent the old H9516UV DVR to you. Do not worry, ask them to creat a RMA for you, replace the newly upgraded one. If you still are not satisfied with it, ask them for a full money refund if you purchased it within 30 days. -
If you have a Dynamic IP, you will need to set up an Account on www.dyndns.org. That way when your IP changes, you can connect to the same Hostname (ex: my.dvrdns.org) everytime you connect. It other words, it makes your Dynamic IP a static host address. This is very important if you want to connect to your DVR remotely.

I think this problem has no relationship with the Router Brands. First, please have a carful check whether you setup the local network well, this should be down first before the remote network setup. Port mapping may cause the trouble. If you still can not figure out, please let me know!

Need help choosing hardware for a 1-2 cam windows based DVR
suky replied to rufunky's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
- Budget is $600 for hardware ( already have the OS )---Much Lower - This is for my place of business (roughly 200 sq ft of open area will need to be covered )---Long Range camera:25mm Board Lens, 70 LEDs, IR Distance: 330' (100m) - I would like the ability to add up to 8 cams if I move to a bigger place---8-Channel-H-264-Real-Time-DVR-Capture-Card or standalone DVR - I would like the ability to have live view over the web and off site/on site backup---Support remote access Hope it helps! -
If possible, try to add a filter on the CCD and see how it goes...

Does your DVR has a VGA for video output? If so, just connect it to the LCD Monitor, for most LCD monitors have VGA for video input...

Try to have a cooperation with the professional security products distributor if possible or upgrade them to meet customers' need..

H.264 is better for network transmission; and MPEG-4 is good for local storage.

I think it largely depends on its quality, no much relation with its power supply. Just two models with different specifications.

There maybe a shortage of power supply......

Vehicle installation: board cameras or bullet cameras?
suky replied to todd2's topic in Security Cameras
You also can take vandal proof dome camera into account, for it is also less obvious than bullet cameras.
