I guess you are using the PC Card, if so, you should buy a RS485 commutator... -
If nothing important in your HDD, try to format HDD and see how it goes.

Not able to view cameras on web viewer ( pc viewer d6)
suky replied to eebozz's topic in Computers/Networking
Did you use the standalone DVR or PC Card? If possible, go to its website to download a view software again. -
Frankly speaking, the video quality will be greatly affected not only by PC Card's display/ record resolution but also by camera's resolution and visible distance. What's more, the camera has more influence on video quality!

suggestions/thoughts on an additional ptz rollout
suky replied to purdywis's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
For PTZ camera, you need to take these features into account: 1. CCD always employ 1/4" Color EX-View HAD CCD 2. Horizontal resolution comes with 480tv lines 3. Night vision / IR Distance: 330' (100m) 4. Optical Zoom: 27X which will take a great effect on the quality picture 5. Angle of View (H): 54.2° (WIDE) to 2.2° (TELE) 6. Pan Rotation: 0°~360° (Endless) 7. Tilt Rotation: 0°~90° 8. Baud Rate: 1200~9600 bps 9. 32 Presets Communication: RS485 Through the RS485 connection, it can be controlled by PTZ controller. These suggestions are for your reference, hope it helps! -
If only for home use without need for remote access, a DVR with MPEG-4 video compression format will be fine, for MPEG-4 is better for local storage; If you need remote access, you'd better select H.264DVR, for H.264video format compressed picture is good for network transmission.

Why is my camera showing all white when it's in night vision
suky replied to daisy's topic in Security Cameras
The LED light is reflecting off the dome of your camera and blinding your lens. To correct this problem, please remove the dome/lens cover and pull the little foam gasket around the lens out until it is flush with the inside of the dome/lens cover. This will block the IR lighting from reflecting back into the lens and blinding it. You can have a try and see how it goes! -
SKU: ZMD-H9004UV-NHD is a 4 Channel H.264 Real Time CCTV Security DVR support SATA HD up to 1TB. Its display and record resolution is 120fps. The basic features are quite good and with quite reasonble price.
-
I guess this simply system is for home use, so I think a basic one will be fine: MPEG4 is good for local storage; 4ch DVR will be fine; Display/ record resolution: 120 fps is enough; Operation system: Linux Hope my suggestions are useful for you!

1) The distance of centralize monitoring place from each DVRs location is 2km and above??? A: Why not locate them together and get remote access after local network setup and remote network setup. For 2km is quite a long distance, the vedio will lose some during long distance transmission no matter how wonderful the cable is. If impossible, choose video balun to extend the cable. But I doubt its effect. 2)Are you going to hook 100 network cameras, if so, NVR would be a good choice! 3)For CCTV surveillance system, You can try Zmodo with quite reasonable price! Thank you for the kind advice and the time

Is more warranty on equipment better for end users?
suky replied to CCTV_Suppliers's topic in General Digital Discussion
Sorry to make you confused, what I mean is that it offers three years free warranty, actually the customers have paid for that for the wellknown brand cameras always charge higher. -
Hello all, does anyone here purchase advertisement on CCTV Forum, and how it goes now? A great effect? How do like purchasing advertisement on CCTV Forum?
-
If only for home use and record, a MPEG-4 is more appropriate for local storage; If for remote access, H.264 video format comepression is better for remote transmission. The reason of snowy screen: 1. caused by signal interference brought by other digital equipments! 2. the cable's quality is not good.

Actually, the longer the warranty, the more you pay. Just pay more for repair fee and relatively better quality... -
