Oh boy. Don't be talking bad about the ICRealtime now. Hey the guy is seeing green, give him a break. That is why I wanted to see the other samples. So far what I have seen is the one from Magee.

Oh definitely the way to go. Just teasing about Ghost. I like True Image, but whatever does the job. How are you utilizing the USB keys? I know Vista when it is released will allow you to use USB flash memory for speeding up the system by putting pre-fetch data on the USB drive.

How would you configure 18 or 20 cams using Geovision Cards?
Jasper replied to WildCard's topic in Geovision
I think he was hoping to do up to 20 cameras in the same computer. -
I will host them if they are less than 10MB per file. PM me for email. Or if you have a Skype account you can PM me your skype name and we can do it that way if they are larger than that.

They need to correct those lux ratings in that pdf file. It say .0006 lux in one area. In another it is .003, which is with sens up. And the final specs without the sens up is: 0.4 for color and 0.08 for BW, which is good, especially for a F1.6 lens.

too bright problem with sony ssc-m183+fujinon yv27x29la-sa2l
Jasper replied to ashak's topic in Security Cameras
Does it have an auto-IRIS? (edit) Yes it does have an auto IRIS. Also that camera is really going to work good in low light, but will tend to wash out in bright light. That camera is not desgined for outside lighting (as in strong sunlight). -
Are you guys all looking at the same clip or is this happening on more than one clip that you guys have seen? Is it a slight tint across the whole image or just in some areas?
-
I just don't see how you are going to force the camera into a position that it is not desgined to go into, without risking pulling out wires or damaging it. Here is a picture of a dome cover. You can see you can only go so far. And even if you removed the inside lining it is doubtful you could get the camera go all the way sideways. Espescially with a limited budget that might allow you to find one thay may do that.

The webcam server seems to be operating OK. Incoming connection work, it is the outgoing connections that don’t. I can log onto the system using VNC, but when I tried to launch IE or to use Skype, no outbound communication is working. Resetting the router seems to be the only thing that will clear up the problem at the moment. I will disable Skype and anything else I have put on that system since the install to eliminate those things as potential causes and go from there. But it was working before without any problems, that is the weird part. As far as the Dynamic IP address I haven’t had any issues with that. If I was I would not be able to VNC into the system and the remote viewing would not work. Thanks for trying to help me trouble shoot though.

Sound like a good idea, except they want to get good quality day/night domes for $150 each. So I doubt they will pay for an electrician.

That is what he must be reffering too? The clip I have here from Magee starts out that way until it reaches the video, like you said. For you guys going to the show that will be interesting to see how ICRealtime demos the unit. Also that number at the top of the screen is that the remote transfer rate being quoted or the recording rate?

Yeah, those are the setting I have in the DVR software and my router. No Anti-Virus software. Windows Firewall is turned off. No firewall other than the router. The DVR has a slow 384kbps DSL upload connection. Now with the communication loss I need to track that down before I even worry about the CenterV2 working.

No. Where is my "sunnin in da bahamas" song? Better yet. Send me some nice snapshots of the island, traffic, whatever with that new cameraa of yours. Yeah I avoid Itunes or any other program that basically has DRM software I did not ask for or adware I don't want. You can by music throgh other sources other than Itunes. They are just the biggy at the moment. I just wanted Qucktime so I could play H.264 files and I was going to have to install the whole Itunes software package, so I said forget it.
-
The shipping would kill me. Itunes is your best bet. Not Jasper Tunes. I have one whole room in my house full of CD's I need to sell though. That Neil Diamond Song I sent you "Coming to America" should hold you over for a bit.

The thing has been working perfectly though. Then all the sudden it quit working. I hate that. I had a heck of a time with that router before it went out. But I tested it like crazy before I put it out there after updating the firmware which solved my problems. Maybe I am going to have to change the Webcam server port to 81. I don't know, but I will figure it out. Your DHCP works intermittently. That is a weird one. Have you tried updating the firmware. Did you have it set to 0, to update the IP address once per 24 hours?

For you maybe. Alot of people got sued for using that program here. What Im recommending above is for your own copyrighted material that you have legally purchased and should have the right to use it on any device you want. It used to be like that until everything went digital. 321 Studios was put out of business for trying to fight the RIAA and the MPA for a right that already existed. Sony is having to pay millions of dollars out for isntalling a hidden RootKit which loaded itself onto peoples computers without their permission. What a stink that has raised. Can't trust Sony.

My skype has use port 38334 in the box for port to use. Restarted it to see if that port was dynamically being changed, but it isn't. Must not specify the same port for every machine? (EDIT) Yep, just check another system with Skype on it. It is using port 2485. Anyway I don't know what it hanging up my router, but it is a PITA.

I hate the DRM (Digital Right Management) crap. If you buy music you should be able to play it on any device you want. There have been many court cases over this and there are going to be a lot more over it. Basically if you want to know how to get around that crap, buy this months issue of Maximum PC as it is dedicated to showing you how to transfer your music and Movies to any device you might want to play it on.

I thought Skype uses port 80 for primary and 443 as backup. At least that is the order in which their listed. I have the GEO Web Server running on port 80 and have had Skype on the system since I put it out and have had no problems until recently. Now I am having problems everyday where I lose outgoing communcation to the internet. I am able to log in remotely with VNC and the remote viewer program, but I can't skype myself files off of the DVR or use CenterV2. I updated the Skype from 1.4 to version 2 recently, but I don't know if that could be causing it or not. I was having the problem everyday when I tried CenterV2, so that was what I thought was causing it and quit using CenterV2 as it was not needed anyway, but the problem persists. Hmmmm. Have to figure this one out. Tired of resetting the router.

That is what I use for my display. That is definately happening it will take awhile, but less tubes are being made as they are phasing them out. When I replaced my old 36" Toshiba tube montior I was informed they no longer manufacture them so I had to buy the HDTV.

Ah, I was just being "COY" anyway: showing marked and often playful or irritating evasiveness or reluctance to make a definite or committing statement; "a politician coy about his intentions" It will probably stay the same. The names of many things date back to prehistoric times. Your LOGO is safe.

And when the gasket is working, does it really stop all of it?

How about COY, Cameras On You!
