Yeah I have done it on my HDTV big screen. I have a VGA input and I had the resolution set to 1024x768 though. Not the HDTV settings.
-
Do a search through the forum I know that has been discussed before. You would use AT commands to the modem to tell it to answer. I remember posting a link to a site with all the modem commands.
-
Yeah, probably right. That sucks, that is all I can say about that. You have to set up a camera smuggling operation. Just kidding any of you government types that might read this.
-
Nah. I think I will go without a little food and get another one of those Sanyo Domes. At least one good camera. Cheap bullet for other areas if I ever get around to them.
-
Well I hate paperwork too, just not that bad. But I understand what your saying. Well no paper jams, no running out of ink, no paper costs, no waiting, no noise, more space available for other junk, just look at all that upside.

That is why you need redundant protection. Other hard drives to protect large partitions and a DVD writer to backup large static files that don't change often. Don't use a recovery CD, use an Image backup. Way better. Normall file backups don't work. Image backup's are the best because the restore the system to a known working status.
-
Not for me. If I can use an image I am back up and running in 15-20 minutes tops for a DVR. If the system needs to be reloaed then it will go much faster from the hard drive than a CD. And even if I don't have an image I back up all those data files anyway. All documents, .pst email files, etc.

You mean that are willing to pay for quality or can afford quality. CCTV equipment has not hit a sweet spot in the market place yet, like PC's. At least not for residential customers and many small business customers as well.
-
The drivers get loaded on the same drive as Windows, so that won't work. You can keep a backup of windows on another partition though so you can speed through the install. And keep your backed up drivers there as well. For a strictly DVR PC you shouldn't have to load many drivers like you said, but for your home PC it might be worth investing in that program or copying all your driver disks to your hard drive so you can find them when you need them. I think we said pretty much the same thing, didn't we?

Yeah. And even if someone does start selling them, they are going to be more expensive, unless the last years models drop in price. "WD True Day Night, 540/600TVL, 0.1/0.01 lux Exview Day Night with Mech Filter" That sounds real good. Let me know when they start selling them. Until then I guess the Sanyo is my winner for now. The better/cheaper thing doesn't usually work out that way.
-
Does anybody? Is the Sanyo Dome the best Day/Night camera for the money that can see in really low light? Hmmm.
-
Lets say the system really gets screwed up. Your image of the drive is no good even. The program I listed above will greatly speed up the reisntall of windows because the drives can be installed that much quicker without having to located or download the drivers. That is where the real benefit of thet program comes in handy. And Ghost sucks. Use True Image and you can mount the backup image as a drive and restore one file if you need to.

It has the connections. VGA, Component, etc. Looks like a good unit per a review I just read. How large a picture you want?
-
You have seen projectors that have VGA inputs?
-
No. But you can do it if yo have a composite output from the DVR to plug into the projector. The bulbs burn out quickly on projectors though. Or you can try a DLP rear projection HDTV with VGA input, which is what I am using right now.
-
No, that is alright. I believe you. If I come there I will bring you food.
-
That is what I thought, but wasn't sure. There are many of those available from different manufactures.
-
Thanks. I appreciate that. These posts are great if your trying to lose weight because your discouraged from eating more and more food.

Wait a minute. You should be able to plug in another wireless router or access point into an RJ45 ethernet Jack. What you need is a Wireless Ethernet Bridge. I think SMC makes them, but maybe some other do also. Of course I don't know what OS the standalone uses so it probably won't work as the bridge is more than likely not support. Turn that thing into a PC and no problem. Sorry, maybe someone else has some ideas.
-
Oh, well there is probably a product that would allow you to plug into an RJ45 ethernet jack and have it lead to a wireless device. Don't know one off hand, but there might be one out there somewhere. Maybe the Wireless eye will drop by and let us know if this is pie in the sky.
-
Micky D's for you. Weren't you raving about that Spicy chicken sandwich the other day? Taco bell is always good quality fast food though. Or you could go the Jack N the Box route. Those 2 tacos for 99 cents are one of my favorites.
-
You don't need an additional wireless router. If you have one than all you need is the wireless PC card as Rory suggested. If the DVR is getting out of rang of the router, then you can buy a repeater. There are actually several ways to go about this, but if the DVR is close enough to the wireless router than what I said above will work. If it is a little to far away you can use a Hawking High-Gain Wireless-G USB Dish Adapter. Supposed to increase you wireless distance by 300%. Don't know if that is true as I have never used one.

Well if lux is all a game, would it not be in these other company's best interest to advertise lower specs? Is Sanyo being dishonest? OK, what domes do you know regardless of their specs that see as good in low light as these Sanyos. I am not saying the Sanyo dome it the best. I just don't know one off hand in the same price range that is better, do you? Brand, model?
-
So do some of these others, but they still don't see in BW down to .06 lux or .04 lux I saw it stated in another one of Sanyos documents. What day/night dome gets that low in that price range? Or even a little higher, not the Extreme priced Extremes Rory, though you could mention one just for reference.
