Nice Documentation Rory. If you still want the customer to be able to open a support document such as a PDF file, not referring to the above document. There is this little gem I found awhile back that allows you to replace Adobe Acrobat with a very slim and efficient way of looking at PDF files. http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php

Thanks. I am still recovering. On Valium now to calm my nerves. Maybe I will take a look at the link you PM'd today, maybe. PS. I Had my mom play the Jingle Bell one and she had the speakers up real loud and it scared the S**t out of my dad who was far away in the next room. -
Did the news do the video work or did you do that yourself? And if you did do it yourself, great sense of humor and what program did you use? EDIT: Just noticed you did it yourself. Great Job. What software did you use? Really made the guy look like an idiot, which of course he was.

Yeah the ports are forwarded correctly on both routers. What happens when I receive the message is that human intervention is required to restart the CenterV2 client software. And no the video ceases to transmit. I answer yes to to close the connection and then it restarts automatically when the CenterV2 on the server end makes contact with the Client PC. Then I get about 3 video clips or so and then get that dreaded message. I thought it might be caused by someone logging on to the WebCam at the same time a video transfer was taking place because I saw the problem happen at that time. But it also happens when no one is logged on using WebCam. Also tried running CenterV2 and no WebCam server and the didn't make any difference either. Stumped at the moment.

ID and Password, not an issue, the DVR and the Client PC are the same. I might just have to accept the fact that I have an “Abnormal connection to the Centerâ€

I keep getting the following message from Client Side of using Center V2, ver 7.05. "The connection of Center is abnormal" - What a helpful message. What can cause this message to be generated? I have a low bandwidth connection (384kbps) in which I am trying to stream 1 camera back to the client. 30 seconds of video every ten minutes. 640x480, lowest quality, 5 fps, 2 secs pre, 3 seconds post. Can somebody confirm to me that this is related to bandwidth or what else might be causing this problem?

1st night everything came back up like it should. Last night after the reboot the WebCam server failed to load after the reboot. So there you have it. It is a reproducible problem that appears to be a bug.

Ear Plugs. That is what you need when a lot of shooting is going on. That is what I wear when a lot of gun fire is happening close by.

Don't forget the demo video and still shots. Need I say more.

XP Home does not have as many features as the Pro version does. I was running XP home for awhile then ended upgrading to XP PRO. XP is the first robust rock solid OS they have produced for the general consumer market. Way better than version 1. Hey G22, finally looked up what your Tag line meant. "Come and get them!" You warrior you.

What are you guys crazy? Send him one and he will try it.

Poor thing, it was just trying to stay warm. He was doing fine until she turned on her computer and hurt him.

I will let you know if it happens anymore. I have made one change though. I now run a schedule instead of a Day/Night routine. I think I had the problem on restore last status also. I will start with restore last status first then.
-
Yeah, here you go "GG". Your set.

Not that I can remember, but that isn't saying much because I didn't test the Auto Reboot feature much before putting it out. I am going to set it up to reboot every night again and see how often it happens. Right now it has been rebooting once a week and it has not happened yet. But that isn't many reboots since I changed it.

No paging file either. Sounding more and more like a bug. But will have to see how many others have experienced this?
-
In my case I don't have low hard drive space and IIS is not installed on the DVR. Is there anyting else to check or is this a bug? This is happening to me on a 1240-8 Combo card. Is this a bug in the 7.05 software? It is very strange because it doesn't happen all the time. I had the box (restore settings) checked under the Auto Reboot feature and the settings would not be restored all the time. I will have to test this some more. If anybody else is having this problem please let us know.

I would suggest getting another lens. Maybe even a varifocal to allow you more flexability. You are going to get that fish eye effect because that lens is just to small for that camera. You would need something like a 3.6mm or 4mm just for it to look normal.

I think it is a bug. I have seen this same problem. After a reboot the WebCam server for whatever reason does not get started even though I have the check mark to restart it. I ended up disabling the autoboot feature because of this reason. The problem is not consistent either, it is intermittent. Maybe somebody else can confirm this as a bug or tell us what could be causing this? Welcome to the Forum by the way.

I understand now. I wasn't aware of that fact that they limited audio support for only specific recording choices. If audio is important to you, you will have to choose one of the supported formats. I don't know of any work around or if this will be supported in Version 8. (If you have a card that supports Version 8 ) If anybody knows different please chime in.

I think this season of American Idol is the worst I have seen. No one stands out with any great talent. At least to me anyway. Back to not watching it.

That is exactly how Thomas does it. He is a very good moderator. You just haven't been here long enough to know that, no offense intended.

I am not recording audio, but you can activate it under camera / audio install located under the configuration menu.

Yeah. That's more like it. Man that song is spooky played backwards.
