Good Low Light on those guys. f1.0 and f0.8 Curious to what the final dimensions will be?
-
Yeah. The one I listed above. They call it Super Dynamic. Another Model Number: Panasonic WV-CP480 SuperDynamic III PLUS Day/Night High Res Panasonic Camera Page: http://catalog2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ModelList?storeId=11201&catalogId=13051&catGroupId=14458 Ganz Camera Page: http://www.cbcamerica.com/cctvprod/ganz/cams/index.html Here is one from Ganz (Box): Computar / Ganz / CBC America ZC-Y30NH4 1/3'' Color hi res, wide dynamic range w/frame integration Compact Version: Computar / Ganz / CBC America ZC-YHW701N Hi-Res Color WDR http://www.cbcamerica.com/cctvprod/ganz/cams/csmount/csm_pdf/ZC_YHW701N.pdf

Moshi moshi (Hello on phone) Tasukete (Help)

No. It can be thicker than that. Don't what it to stick out length wise. That one didn't give the measurements. .01 in color. If that is for real that is impressive. Something maybe no longer than 4 inches? I don't know. How long are those Pano 484's? They are 5 1/16 without a lens. edit: (The 484 is shorter, this was for the 480)
-
It doesn't matter how ugly it is. It is the size that counts. Small Day/Night with IR filter would be good. Hey it has an ExView Chip. .01 BW, pretty good, 480TVL.
-
If it does it probably would cost too much anyway. I'll keep looking around.
-
Yeah. A little too big. Something between the other one you showed me and this one would be good. Ideally a true Day/Night cam in a small size would be nice. Hadn't thought about putting a board in an enclosure. I would probably screw that up first time out. Not to mention the selection of the enclosures. I have to do more research. Everybody wants color during the day and BW low light sensitivity at night. Including me. Thanks for your guys help. Keep em coming as you run across them.
-
I was going to try one out mounted vertically. So a mount that offered more flexability would be nice. Pivoting up and down is ok, but flexability is always nice.
-
That is a good size. .05 lux at f1.6. I would think you would need a f1.2. But maybe because of the 1/2" sensor maybe not? Anything that size Day/Night?
-
Yeah, like the Cam53IR, something no bigger than those, maybe smaller. A good day/night, IR filter. I guess a Wide Dynamic is out of the question in that size? I have seen people advertise bullets as covert while I always thought covert were those tiny, tiny cameras.
-
They don't have to be like thos tiny, tiny cameras. Probably something no bigger than those Mace cameras I see Kandicorp and Isaac I believe posting about. They seem go be a good size. I don't know how well they perform in low light though.
-
Small weather resistant day/night cameras for people who want smaller exterior cameras that isn’t as noticeable. Just big enough to allow for a quality image during the day and in low light at night. Say something around .05 lux at night. An IR filter. Not looking for a hidden camera necessarily. Varifocal lenses would be nice, but not necessary. Wide Dynamic would come in handy for back lighting situations. I have been looking at virtually nothing but regular sized cameras. I thought I would delve into the smaller cameras and see what type of quality they are able to achieve in a small form factor. Just want to find out what is available as I know the smaller cameras have gotten quite a bit better over the past several years.

What are your favorite Dynamic cameras? That is a Beautiful picture. I have seen Pano mentioned several times. Panasonic WV-CP484 Interested more in box cameras, but hearing about domes is good too.
-
Hey Did you get your guys yet
-
Any other small covert camera recommendations suitable for outdoor? Day/Night in a little cam? How small with good quality? Dynamic maybe? Dreaming maybe?

New guy asks a few questions from the pros...

Buying from people on this forum is a safer bet. They have a reputation to maintain. And I'm not trying to sell you anything. There are several people on this forum that would be more than happy to sell you GeoVision cards and give you excellent support. The companies that have banner ads on this site are reputable and can be trusted. -

Is the air thinner in Texas or something. -
My neck sounds like that every morning I get out of bed. I can't believe how many stupid things people do and get themselves hurt. Than sometimes they keep on trying until their dead. Rory, that Metacafe site that you told me about is loaded full of these jackasses that do crazy stuff that gets them seriously injured or killed.
-
That's good to know. People who have bought the older cards recently should be given a really good trade in value. A lot of people will feel like they're being punished because of the actions of other people who are pirating these GeoVision cards. This development is going to make a lot of people very upset. Especially because many were looking forward to the 7.1 release and now find out it's been renamed to version 8 and won't work with their card.
-
Hmmm. Yep, forgot about that one. You still can't run the newer software though can you? For the amount of money the GV-250 costs though who cares. I wouldn't. Geo has plenty of features with the current release for people using that card and for people who want an inexpensive solution.

You truly never sleep. Which Panasonic model? Panasonic WV-CW474AF ?
-
What is the Dynamic Range of 64db mean in regards to how the camera performs?
-
That is very good news. It opens the door to many new potential customers that have those type of systems. I think they are really trying t make this new release a really good one in order to get people to move up to the newer hardware. I know many people are unhappy about this development because they may have only owned one of the older cards for a short period of time and they feel robbed as I think most people would. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the market place. They probably figure that most security professionals will want the latest hardware and software to offer their new clients. As well as create a new revenue stream for themselves and their many partners. The home owner or small business will probably be content with what they have now?

If they are that great I sure wish someone would post a few pictures of some sample video, etc.

SATA or IDE Hard Drives?
Jasper replied to kandcorp's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Anybody using external eSATA drives yet? They have shielded cables that allow the drive to be located 2 meters away from the system. The cables are designed to withstand 5000 connects/disconnects compared to the internal type which allow 50. These drives should really help with additional storage needed outside the computer and maintain the same performance as if they were in the computer. Should be beneficial for recording many video streams simultaneously.
