GeoVision Cards. Any other cards
-
It looks interesting. Since you have one coming already you'll be able to give us a review. What kind of retail price does it have?
-
Yes it really looks like some good technology. I guess very few cameras have it currently. Clear pictures, storage requirements cut roughly in half. Sounds good to me.

That women falling in the hole is Hilarious. Probably got hurt and maybe killed the little guy that went down the latter first, but very good footage. Yeah on the car bombs, those get really nasty. I saw a terrorist video that showed they were going for a bus, but couldn't catch it in time so they just blew up next to the nearest vehicle with soldiers in it.

Hope you have a lot of reflective surfaces for the IR to reflect off to provide sufficent illumination. Someone else posted a photo of IR in a garage and it didn't work out to well for them. They used a cheap camera with weak IR though.

What do you get for a Class D?
-
Rory your photo looks like we could be related?

People want stuff cheap as possible. The chineese are very good at doing that. People don't seem to care about quality in a lot of things.

Is a day/night camera with sense up technology a useful feature to be looking for in a camera? Does it really cut down the noise in the video, thus producing clearer images and smaller frame sizes for video storage. Just noticed the photo link. You are crazy, but it looks just like you.

Yep that is what the Japanese have been doing forever. No insult intended to Japanese people. Just they were smart enough to take an orginal idea and improve it.

An ad was placed in the newspaper explaining exactly how the patented device works? I thought a patent pending would offer some form of protection. I guess it really depends on how thorough of a patent research was done prior to filing the patent. I have heard of many people filing patents without actually doing research on patents that are similar or just like theirs. I don't know if that is the case here. But I know it sucks anyway you look at it.

That doesn't sound right? Can you explain that some more?

How To Save an Hour (Or More) On XP Installs
Jasper replied to DataAve's topic in Computers/Networking
It installing on Drive D: autopartition=1. I wonder if that value needs to be changed to 0, because that is how the first drive is labeled under Windows. I don't know about the other part, but I think your being persistent and doing great. You will figure it out if someone can't tell you. I would try Googling different search word combinations and see what someone else did in your same situation. -
1480 is the model number. 480 is for 30fps for 16 cameras, which is full speed. The combo card also lets you display full speed regardless of what your cameras are setup to record. Your remote viewing frame rate will be determind mostly by the speed of the DVR's upload speed to the internet. The more cameras added the slower it will get unless you have really good upload speed.

KandCorp, Looks like you might be an overclocker if you want a case like that? You could really overclock with that case. For $900 though you could buy a more powerful CPU and fan. But if that is what you like I say treat yourself when the time is right. River, I am with you on those covers, I don't like them. I want access not a piece of furniture. I didn't quite get the double disk loading thing. Could this not be accomplished by just buying another DVD burner. If you don't have room in the case buy an external enclosure and use your USB or firewire to hook it to your computer.

How to setup GeoVision for Remote View using Dynamic IP
Jasper replied to radigital's topic in Geovision
Your very modest today. Me either because I can't see it. Most of the time you figure stuff out then you can understand what they were tyring to say in the manual. (The one I printed on regular sized paper) -

Yeah, you can actually read it when it is printed out. The little book they give you, well that is another story. -

You mean you haven't Googled it already. Read The Friggin Manual (polite form) -
KandCorp - Good case. I have seen this given good reviews in several places. RiverTruss - You can't beat that deal. A case with a 450 watt power supply. I have been reviewing cases that Maximum PC has reviewed but haven't made up my mind yet. They are all better than my dell case for storing more drives. That new one from Thermaltake, Tai Chi I think, weighs 40lbs. No thanks.

The thermal grease is there to bridge the gap between the CPU and the heatsink already to insure good heat transfer. So I don't think putting the probe wires in that spot would be a good idea. JMHO. What case did you buy?

I have so many acronyms rolling around in my head. He probably didn't say RTFM, he probably said something else. -
The link above was to 95% copper braiding and was at a good price. Maybe you need to find a place that is really close to cut down on the shipping charges? I just bought 500' of that cable and paid $99 dollars for it. It was well worth it.
-
Yeah I understand that. That is why I don't like it either. And you can't reuse it again like you might have been able too if it were normal memory. I hope you talked her out of it. Unless you can find it cheap somewhere.
-
You got a good deal KandCorp. Must have been on sale. The motherboard and the chip would cost me more than that now. But I appreciate the links. Don't think putting those wires in between the thermal grease, CPU and heatsink is a good idea. Do you need those temp probes to find out the temperature? Are the probes specifcally for the CPU? Or can you run a utility like SpeedFan to find out your temps? SpeedFan works good on my new laptop, but I don't know if they have temp probes in there. I know it gets hot.
