I can relate to that. Not sure exactly what it is, but I can relate. See Y’all Later, Y'all come back now!!!
-
Yeah, Hi Yall turned into Armed And Dangerous. I did like the pictures though. Nice collection.

If you find out how to do it, let us know so we all have the option of mounting cameras sideways. Maybe you need to convince your customer out of that camera setup, unless you sold him on the idea. If you did then you might want to make some type of arrangement with him and mount a camera the right direction. Otherwise if what you are saying is accurate about it being the best quality mounted that way, then he has to turn his head sideways if he wants the best quality.

Great story. That’s my type of luck. I just want to know one thing: Do you have any pictures?
-
I have worked with monitors a lot of years and I have never heard of this ability. Flipping the image upside down, no problem, but what you’re trying to accomplish, never seen it done. There has got to be a better solution to this problem. But I did like Scotts idea.
-
How close were you Thats ok. I don't want to know. Just kidding for the people who get serious. Scott isn't one of them.

Are reading Think And Grow Rich? It’s been awhile since I read that book, but that seems to be verbatim what I recall reading. That is a very true statement. The most successful people surround themselves with experts of all kinds. Just look at Bill Gates, perfect example.

Yeah, those have been banned here in CA for quite awhile. Only the people that bought them years ago have them. Were going to have to call you G22 AK47 from now on. Quit with the pictures already. You could start another thread with those pictures if they had cameras on them.

Wow, when did this turn into the gun show?. No mo Fifty cent 4 yo if it goin to make you crazy. Don’t let Rory kid you about the hand guns. They just don’t hold enough bullets for them there. They carry AK47.s and Uzzi’s with bannana clips. That should be it for the gun show.

-
I don’t know Scott. Fifty Cent(s), the rapper might argue with you on that one. He has made a lot of money talking the way he does. Ebonics and most forms of slang are here to stay. No matter how bad they sound. G22, Funny!

You would have to know the power requirements of the equipment to know the answer to that question. 12 Volts is usually DC & 24 volts is AC.
-
He means he needs something to turn the image only 90 degrees, not all the way flipped How do you do that with a video signal? That is what he wants to know, me too.

I don’t know your situation, but I know from my own testing that huge video files will be created if you have a camera(s) that are pixelating, in low light for example. Scott, Is there a noticeable drop in quality when reducing the recording quality high to medium? -
Does anyone replace these silica packs after a period of time?

You can place your cursor over the executable program after doing a directory listing and it will show you which version. They should have a help, about feature though as it is standard throughout windows programs. Hopefully they will take care of this problem. They need to make this information more easily obtainable.

3G wireless networks offers 2mbps downstream and 4G networks will offer 100mbps download. I just don’t know how available 3G wireless access is, what it costs or if it is as fast as quoted. And when will 4G be available widely throughout the U.S.? In Japan they are working on pushing the 4G wireless to 1gbps. -
How can I scan text with ocr from video recorded ????
Jasper replied to jsimon's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Have you tried contacting the company that sold you the unit or the company that makes the unit? It is a nice system and I could see where you would want to accomplish what you are trying to do. You could do an additional scan of the id with a computer scanner on an inexpensive PC to accomplish what your are trying to do. It would defeat the purpose of connivance though as it would just add more time to the cataloging of the ID. -
split ohne video signal on two monitor, vcr,...
Jasper replied to vda's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Use a splitter at the end of the cable, then you can connect two cables leading from there to wherever you want. If this is not the answer you were looking for, can you be more specific? -
VNC is not really the best choice for viewing what is on the DVR screen. I have a similar problem when I VNC to my DVR. This is on a Geo card. I had to use the mini switch feature to reduce the video size which enabled me to see what was on the DVR screen. My resolution was set at 800x600 also. It still wasn't small enough to allow me to see the DVR screen video images. If you specify the DVR you are using maybe somebody else can chime in and help you with that particular DVR.

Never seen any of those other brands you mentioned. The best hard drive/DVD recorder tested by Computer Shopper so far is the new Pioneer DVR-533H-S. It is the fist to market with the ability to write to dual layer DVD’s. It has the 30 second commercial skip feature as well. List price is $399 USD.

If you want to record movies to DVD and have the most compatible format to play them back in most DVD players than you want a DVD writer that can write DVD-R. They also can be written to the fastest. Some of the DVD writers will write all the DVD formats depending on the model. I am not familiar with your market so I can not recommend one off hand. If you were in the states I would say check out the local Costco. Or order one on-line. As far as the hard drive. It depends on how big it is and if you can use it as a DVR to record your shows or whatever you are recording. Then you can write the data out to the DVD at your leisure. DVD-RW and DVD+RW have increased their writing speeds recently on computer DVD drives. 8x for DVD+RW and 6x for DVD-RW last time I checked. You have to get the DVD’s that support these speeds though as they are new media. Dual layer capability would probably be good as well so you can write up to 8.5GB per disc instead of 4.7GB. Some brands to check out are Liteone, Pioneer, Sony, Hitachi, Toshiba and several others. Hope this helps.
