Question about ethernet chipset/controllers in IP cameras
Biphase replied to konix's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Yeah, search the net and you find more info about MACs and how the first 3 number octects are manufacturer specific. 3 of the bosch ones you list are the megapixel and the other 2 are the Dinion series - The megapixels you may have luck, but not the dinions. Very proprietary. -
I am pretty sure it may be an italian company, but no proof.

"Halo" image in night time pictures (dome IR)
Biphase replied to ronhithcox's topic in General Analog CCTV Discussion
Put a piece of foam around the ring of the camera and make sure it touches the dome...something to isolate the camera and keep the IR from bouncing back into lens. -

The dip switch setting will depend on the camera module inside. Do you know what the full CTN is? Should be a number on the board.

I like my VDN 495. Is a LTC 0498/21 the same camera?
Biphase replied to sequoia's topic in Security Cameras
Yes, those part numbers are all part of the flexidome/dinion camera line. The 498 is replacing the 495. Excellent picture on the 498, WDR with BLC and 20 bit processing. -
Sounds like a ground loop.

View live and playback on same matrix switcher...
Biphase posted a topic in General Analog CCTV Discussion
How important is it? Is the demand there? In other words, you can view live on one monitor and control playback on another. -

In reference to your not able being abl eto move from the web - Alot of other manfacuters dont fully put the full abilities of other manufacturers into their products, especially when you have 2 different manfuacturers on a site. -

Coax Protocol Panasonic WV-CW960
Biphase replied to ajheredia's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
Out of the X1600 you can output Panasonic 485 control... I've worked with Panasonic tech support before and made this work. I even wrote code for the x1600 encoder to send panasonic payload commands. To get the, Panasonic up-the-coax, as they call it, you would need a panasonic converter. Not sure if they make one... Bosch sells their version, LTC 8016 ,using Bilinx. Pelco sells their version for Pelco P/D to coaxitron. -

Each manufacturer has their "OWN" specs on the datasheets.... but you have to look at when you buy a camera - what comes along with it - support, the warranty....etc.
