Should we be using IR Corrected Lens?

Found ya a good white paper: http://www.crockettsales.com/assets/productdata/IRCorrectedLensesWhitePaper.pdf
  7. 1. You can do it, but why? Just pick a single manufacturer since you are still in design stages of the project. Save yourself the headache when you have a problem. 2. Using 4 differfent cameras, you will probaly be using a software that supports the MJPEG stream from the cameras....hopefully they all support it. 3. Based on 1 and 2, pick one manufacturer.
  8. You could just get fiber converters......IFS...Bosch.

    Philips/Bosch Biphase

Biphase is a form of RS-422. It is 422, but proprietary to bosch. You probaly want to get a LTC 5136 kit .....comes with the keyboard a LTC8786. Taking 232 to Biphase. which you can run 5000ft. THe LTC 8786 has a DB9 connector and rj11. the rj11 is used by the keyboard. the dvr would use the DB9. FYI - Bosch VG4 autodomes also support Pelco P and D protocol. So if your DVR outputs either of them, you can use it. They also support RS-232 too. Make sure its OSRD.
  17. Get a LTC 8782 converter... Bosch has one that goes from Biphase to Pelco.

Looking for Bosch Bilinx software and cable

What you need: Configuration Tool for Imaging Devices software free and avail for download from Bosch VP-USB BNC to USB converter that will work with that software using BILINX.
  21. G3 domes....depends on the exact model # on what it supports. Does it have 4 DIP or 8 DIP switches on the top ? Some with the 8 DIPs support Pelco P.. RS-232 or Biphase generally. You are limited with 232 - 50ft. Look on DVR to see what it outputs... Then take a look at the Bosch LTC 8782 converters. There is a list of protocols that can be converted to biphase. You should be able to output pelco p or d at least? If so, then there is a converter for you.
  22. most IP cameras support a RTSP stream....why not code it into a webpage? Depends on what you have.

Take off the DC iris lense - go with a fixed lense so you can close the iris down a little. Don't they have a BLC mode?
  24. Bosch IP cameras and encoders have a MJPEG stream. You can reach it from web browser ( IPADDRESS/snap.jpg )
