tip_ex replied to SHJeep84's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi. I do not know Pelco stuff, but you probably have a component missing such a Matrix, unless i am mistaken. An Ultra 8 camera will display OSD upon boot up. What are you seeing? -
Hello. I am not sure I understand your request. Can you say it in other words?

What is the actual information you are seeing from the sticker of the unit ?

Please verify that the keyboard is in the REPEAT OFF mode on ADTTE and AD2089. On your CC keyboard it is called MAKE BREAK I think. please verify in your keyboard manual and it will allow you to operate your camera properly. -
Intellex Network client---Multiple clients
tip_ex replied to tablettoo's topic in Computers/Networking
Hi there. I believe think 5002 is being used by Network CLient. But I can be mistaken. Maybe that is why it does not work.. -
Hello. The other option would be to purchase the recovery disk part number from any distributors and run them. American Dynamics do not have recovery disks available for d/l. The recover disk part number is on a sticker on the front of the unit. Usually comes by 2 on older units, and on a DVD on latest units. the number also starts by 0710-xxxx-xx. Best regards.

Poor picture quality - new installation
tip_ex replied to chriscaton's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hello. I hate working with ballun. The money I save by installing them, i lose it with troubleshooting time. So I prefer Coax by far. Usually when I have to troubleshoot a site, what I do is i bring down one camera and connect it to the roll of coax and to the DVR and see that the signal is nice and clean. The customer agrees then to replace CAT5 by Coax. -
Nowadays, with OEM, maybe a picture of the interface would also help. Usually the software is the same, but the physical unit is not.

It's a nice stylish unit. I don't recall seeing one unfortunately. Home somebody else will be able to assist.

Networking Cameras over internet? Is this possible?
tip_ex replied to DaveScott's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hello there. Yes, it is possible to connect your cameras to a DVR over internet, as long as your ports are forwarded properly. Basically you will have to test it, and see how fast is fast with an HD camera, especially during rush hour. Having only one DVR for 3 locations is a little bit risky if the hard drive dies, unless you will go with a system that has RAID5 capabilities. Several manufacturers offer a client software that can connect to several DVR's at the same time, that will allow you to control all 3 DVRs from one station. Best regards, -
Record/hdd light always on,Help
tip_ex replied to lee2013's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
HI. Take a look in your manual, maybe they operate in a different way. maybe if the light is green it means that the hard drive is good, then ornage is for recording, and off or red is dead... something like that. Best regards -
Hello Mr Erasto The first thing to verify is if the file is protected or in its RAW format. If that is the case, then, only the manufacturer will be able to assist you. They might have a converter or a software that allows to convert from their RAW format to .AVI. Then from .AVI you will be able to burn a DVD movie disc. Best regards,

IP address, Gateway etc when setting up CCTV remote viewing
tip_ex replied to gamboss's topic in Security Cameras
Hello there. 1. You will connect the DVR to a LAN port (1-2-3 or 4), not WAN, since that is where your Internet connection comes in. 2a. Yes, the IP address is the DVR's IP address. 2b. The best way to get this info, is to go to a computer connected to the same router, and type in a command line (cmd) the following command: ipconfig/all. then you will see your gateway address. usually the router's internal (private) IP address. Since the IP address of the router is 192.168.0.1, then the DVR should be 192.168.0.114, not 192.168.1.114 2c. Subnet mask, you will find that in the 2b section as well, from the ipconfig/all command. should be 255.255.255.0 Prefered DNS will be listed as DNS Server from the ipconfig/all command again. Should be 192.168.0.1 in your case, not 192.168.1.1 3. For the port forwarding part, you tell the router that if somebody is requesting port 80 and 8880, then forward them to the internal Ip address 192.168.0.114. So Yes, that would be the address of the DVR. (your router picture is very small) Hope it helps. Regards, -

Intellex help - How to convert to edit in FCP
tip_ex replied to nrpsvideo's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hello. The best way to convert the file to an AVi is with the Network Client software. You can still use some 3rd party devices, no mentioning capture card and so on ... A copy of The network client software comes with each purchased Intellex machine. However, if you would like to get a copy, you will need to purchase it from any distributor, since the version that is downloadable from AD's website doesn't include the license key. You can find some on e-bay also. Enjoy the rest of your day. -
I am usin Intellex LT can anybody tell me how to set up a se
tip_ex replied to halsaps's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
So, what version of Intellex are you running? Go to Utilities, and About Intellex. If this is version 5, then you will need to know what is the 2nd password. This is a new feature like in a bank, where 2 keys are required to unlock a safe. ttyl8r -
