    From what I read, the 18/2 coax cable seems to be the issue if the pre-made cable works good. Just because it test good, doesn't always result in a working component when integrated. The length of the cable run 75-90 ft shouldn't pose this issue. Are you using the power supply that came with the camera? Let us know what you find.

    Your on the right track with those spec's, D1 recording, H.264 codec. 2 TB's are more than enough as you know of an incident within 24 hours of occurrence.

    Give more details of your network and dvr network set-up internal settings such as port # info to make sure you have the correct port number(s) forwarded and or the dvr located outside of the the network firewall (DMZ)...Can you connect via LAN?
