Geovision GV-VD320D Motion Blur at night...
FikseGTS posted a topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
We have a couple of GV-VD320D cameras. At night if a car drives by it's just a blur, can't see anything. How can we tweak the camera to get a better picture of faster moving objects? our analog low resolution cameras do a better job.. I have attached an example... thanks! -
Geovision GV-VD320D Motion Blur at night...

I don't see a way to adjust the shutter speed in this camera... -
Has anyone tried to run the GV-iView ipad/iphone app on their mac desktop? I would be great to open the app and view the cameras quickly on the mac without having to deal with the clunky website interface.... Apple has a App store for the mac desktop, but Geovision hasn't made GV-iView available in it yet.... one other way might be to download the mac development software and run the app in that....

BUILDING A INTEL I3 WINDOWS 7 GEOVISION ....NEED HELP
FikseGTS replied to newtocctv's topic in Geovision
you have to submit a download request on the geovision site, then they'll send you the links to download.... when you startup the computer, go into the bios, there should be a hyperthreading setting there... you might not have to do that with the i3 processor, I would try it out first..... -
BUILDING A INTEL I3 WINDOWS 7 GEOVISION ....NEED HELP
FikseGTS replied to newtocctv's topic in Geovision
heh, pentium 4, how old is that document.... the HP i bought is the i7, which is quad core, so adding hyperthreading causes the software to see 8 processors.... the geovision software wouldn't display video with hyperthreading on, works fine with it off, zero crashes so far in 6 weeks... -

Is is possible to set the system to only invoke the motion email alarm during certain hours of the day? I would like to just have it send the email if motion is detected at night around my car.... don't need it sending notices all day long.... thanks!

Geovision 1480, Windows 7 and HP PC with i7 Processor...
FikseGTS replied to FikseGTS's topic in Geovision
statement.... just letting others know if they are dealing with similar configs.... -
I bought an HP PC, NV526UT with the Core i7 860 processor and windows 7 professional. Installed the 1480 card and a 2TB drive for storage. At first I had black video on all camera inputs and the multi-camera app kept quitting. In the bios I disabled hyperthreading and everything works now.

CCTV Types of cables Cat Vs Coax, What one?
FikseGTS replied to danny_'s topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
I'm currently planning my system as well. I'm considering running cat5 along with the siamese cable to all camera locations, so I can upgrade to IP cameras as they come down in price. Shouldn't be too much more labor to run the cat5 cable as they are running the siamese.... -

thanks, I tried posting the link to the specs, I'm new here, posting links is not allowed yet... the motherboard isn't listed, probably because it's HP, proprietary to them?
