Changing Resolutions with Geovision Software
kandcorp replied to RichTJ99's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Check this out: http://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=277748 Nothing really anything to do with DVR's, but similar problem with AVI files shrinking down to 360x240 from 720x480. -
See if you can contact this company: http://www.acutvista.com.tw/product.php?pro=detail&id=83 Great domes, work with GEO. Not so good in dark apps, but still a great priced dome.

Is it possible to run 12VDC (Siamese) through the same 2"Conduit as a 220VAC line without interference?? The conduit is underground going through a Hotel parking lot about 15Feet to a huge light pole. I am leaning towards NO, but I need some input if someone has come across this same problem. Thanks

Yea, I tried selling him a 480 day/night and a 520 Day/Night explaining to him that this is absolutely needed for LPR but he is very very cheap. At night, the shot is completely black. Oh, and there is a 5-100mm AI lens on that cam Heres another day shot:

Anyone using Avermedia cards& software
kandcorp replied to baywatch's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Sounds great. We are a pretty big distributor of Aver Systems as you have probably read. Been selling them for awhile now. The Central Management Software is incredible. Have seen it up and running . It will be free for up to 7 or 8 DVR's. They will also be releasing their enterprise edition (100's or 1000's of DVR's) for a price. Well, glad to have met you. Stay in touch, some very good info on these forums. -

Hey kateoh_99, Where are you located. How long have you been using Aver cards. -
Also, are you accessing through your LAN or Remotely. Do you have proper ports forwarded. It looks like Port 1159 is used for the transfer of the live video stream. Is the card th PC DVR-4-Net?
-
All your drivers up to date; Video, Direct X, etc. Also, Where are you located, you may have to set your video format to NTSC or PAL according to your location.
-
Thanks for the article Larry...
-
What model cameras. If you cant find that what type; IR Bullet, Full Body, Dome, etc. Specs too will help. thanks
-
The ICRealtime 16 Channel Pro will do 30FPS (480FPS total) per channel at 720x480, but if your going to access it via IE or client you would probably need a dedicated T1. Its a bandwidth Hog at that setting.
-
I havent read anything that says it is. So I dont know that may be the problem. As high end as your system is that might be the root of the issue. The video card is supported.
-
Is the NVIDIA nForce4 SLI chipset supported by GEO?? And also, is the ATI X600 a PCI-EX card?

Software that run in the background?????
kandcorp replied to PINBALLNUT's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Why dont you try something like this: http://www.directlvs.com/Camera/Crow/Specs/memocam.htm You can capture 1-101 images per event and have 2 additional video inputs(wireless cams). They are pretty effective for purposes like yours. -
For simple Text Overlay we use these(VSI Pro): http://www.americanvideoequipment.com/catalog/vsi-pro.htm

Software that run in the background?????
kandcorp replied to PINBALLNUT's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
You could get a 2 channel card made by GEOVISION (Model GV-250-2) for pretty cheap. But, as far as running it in the background I am not sure. Wait a few more hours, someone will reply to this thread with the answer. I will try and research in the mean time though. -

Why dont you just get a cheap stand alone embedded DVR. If framerate and internet access is not an issue you would be better off. Also, I dont know how computer savy your wife is but to be absolutely sure she doesnt find out, use a stand alone. Hide it in the ceiling or somewhere else she wont be able to find. -
16ch DVR Card - WDT 5316 with Safeking app
kandcorp replied to icek's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
What is the speed of the P4 CPU? What motherboard are you using? What programs/services do you have running (antispyware, firewall, etc.)? -
PC Windows XP gives you (i sound like a broken record now ) higher quality evidence sharing, faster speeds, upgradable flexibility, and larger selection of the newest compression codecs. Stand alone non Windows (eg Linux, Nucleus, etc) are great for plug, play, and forget about it, with little to no intervention. A budget Stand Alone is in no way silimar to a decent higher end unit. Same can be said with PC Cards, but with well known brands the software stays the same across the boards. Just in Case

30fps at d1 res(740x480) record for all 16ch pc impossible!
kandcorp replied to griffonsystems's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
