Check this out as well "Top 5 Powerful Notebooks" http://www.pcworld.com/reviews/article/0,aid,123729,00.asp They all have Pentium M CPU's also http://reviews.cnet.com/Notebooks/4521-6527_7-5021302-1.html?tag=dir

Yea but you have to remeber it has a Intel Pentium M 760 2.0GHz. From what I have heard and read this is comperable to a Pentium 4 3.0+. That's an awesome CPU especially if you are concerned with battery life. They were made for notebook PC's. The bottom line is pentium M processors DO run at a slower clock cycle, but are designed to do MORE in each clock cycle making them faster. I would never buy a Pentium 4 again for a notebook. I have a NC6000 HP notebook and it utilizes a 1.6 Pentium Centrino M. I have really enjoyed the performance and the battery life. If you get a P4 3.4 in a notebook plan on only an hour or two of use. Visit http://www.intel.com/products/processor/pentiumm/ for more info on the CPU.

18 2 generally is used for Power transmission. 18 being the Gauge 2 being the 2 cables or conductors For the communication I think generally most people utilize cat-5 or some sort of UTP. For the PTZ's I would use an RG-59 cable for the video and power transmission and for the communication a CAT-5 cable.

I will post all the info I have gathered plus screen shots and hopefully a live demo ASAP. I will finish up my testing this week and post results including comparisons to other DVR's. I am real excited about this machine. Thanks,

Hello Bill There are a few hybrid cards out there that will work with IP cameras. The DVR card that we carry at iLink does. Please PM me with your specific needs and I would be glad to point you in the right direction.

Dont know if this is true but I heard today that some of these DVR's that say motion detection dont actually have it. Let me explain... What they told me is instead of the motion triggering the DVR to start and stop Recording, it just lowers the frame rate when motion isnt detected therefore recording is still active. Anyone ever heard of this. And let me know if I am sounding likke a Dumba** Thanks
