  2. Yea it really is...Its been through about 5 or 6 or 7 generations of production so it is about as good as it gets at this point. And MACE has been there exclusive tester for research and Development and sold probably about 15-20K of them over the last 3-4 years. Very low failure rate. Pretty much the only cam I like in Mace's line. Anyway I would like to see if I could source a cam like that with an IR cut filter like you said...would be nice.

    Fake Motion Detection

Yea sounds like it to me too. Just wanted to know if anyone had ever heard anything like that before. One of my Dealers actually asked me that today. Motion Recording is a must for us as well.
  4. Network camera lol Oh there making more than that off each camera. Especially being one of DBL's biggest accounts. DBL buys those cameras for dirt cheap... And they ship for free to their customers.
  5. They are the same camera now..No difference. They used to be but not now... Its funny, digitally unique has the 53cir as backordered now.. Hey, im sorry that I gave you that link..I didnt think this was going to happen. I have heard pretty good things about them and they were the cheapest so thats why I posted that link. THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED TO DO_ Click this link http://www.bbbonline.org/cks.asp?id=102080514542724358 Digitally Unique is part of the Better Business Bureau File a report against them and state everything that happened. Remeber YOU PAID FOR THE CABLE. Here is the link to the Complaint Form: http://complaints.bbb.org/SelectComplaintLinkFrameSet.asp After you finish that call them back and try to speak to a manager. Tell them you just filed a complaint and you want your DAMN CABLE!!
  6. Thats BS..Why wont they just send you the cable that was already paid for. You should really reconsider calling them back for the cable and not wasting your time or money at Radio Shack. Why do they need the camera back if all you need is the cable!

    Powertech cameras?

Never heard of them and cant find anything about them through goog or yahoo??? Where did you hear about them?
  8. Yea pics would be great. I dont think I have ever seen that camera.
  9. CAM53CIR original SOURCE: http://leshi.manufacturer.globalsources.com/si/6008802168230/ProductDetail/CCTV-water-resistant/product_id-1001448847/action-GetProduct.htm CAM43CIR original SOURCE: http://leshi.manufacturer.globalsources.com/si/6008802168230/ProductDetail/CCTV-water-resistant/product_id-1001448831/action-GetProduct.htm But I beleive they buy all of the first one and just label them differently now since they have been buying them for so long.
  10. OK, Mace does make a CAM43CIR and it was actually the 1st and 2nd generation CAM53CIR. They are still being sold and usually come along with their pre-packaged observation systems. They only sell that camera and packages really to DBL Distributing. Digitaly Unique from what I remember working for Mace Does buy direct from DBL. The only difference between the 2 cameras supposedly is that the 53 is 470TVL 1/3" sony and the 43 is 420TVL 1/4" ??...But other than that, same body, IR's, Lens, etc.. I wouldnt even go through the trouble of returning it because there is not much difference between the 2. Just call them up and ask for a credit for the difference. And make sure you get your Cable. To tell you the truth the CAM53CIR is only 420TVL.. It always has been THERE NOW THE TRUTH IS OUT And as far as Macally...I dont know, I remember seing them a few times when searching Mace prods online. And I actually dont really get it. I inquired once to see if I could find out a little more about why a MAC ipod acces. company sold Mace cams..beat me Shopping.com and Amazon at one point had the 53 marked as Macally too....
  11. Through my experiences fps usually means FRAMES per Second. The only thing you have to watch out for is whether they are referring to total FPS or FPS per channel. You should be able to find a DVR to meet your specs. I will research and give you my best recommendation.
  12. Avemedia DVR's can do this as well. Remote Record or download specified file in AVI format... Also BMP snapshots.
  13. What kind of cable do you have run now? If it is RG-59 or siamese you are better off using that.
  14. It should have according to the place you ordered it from: Package Contents: CAM53CIR Weatherproof Long Range IR Camera with Built-In Audio 100 FT BNC-to-BNC Cables Power Supply Mounting Brackets You need to call Digitally Unique and ask them to send that cable because they do advertise that it is included. Thanks
  15. Is that true TOM?? I never have heard that. I thought they were the same(fields/frames). But I guess that would make sense. PAL__25Frames/sec = 50Fields/sec NTSC__30Frames/sec = 60Fields/sec Thanks again for the info TOM.
  16. Ok, since I got some fairly good info from your replys I now have a few more companies to ask about. Thank again in advance. (Experiences, info on integration) 1. PCSC www.1pcsc.com 2. Verichip www.verichipcorp.com 3. Vuetura www.vuetura.com 4. Imron Corp www.imron.com 5. Stanley www.stanleysecuritysolutions.com
  17. The maximum Fram Rate PER CHANNEL is 30FPS NTSC/25FPS PAL for any DVR system. 50FPS per channel is not possible. 30FPS is realtime recording..It doesnt get better than that. Some specs to look at or consider if you are concerned with quality of recorded video: -Resolution -Video Compression (Mpeg4, Jpeg, MJpeg, H.264, Jpeg2000) Also, narrow it down to a Stand Alone embedded DVR or a PC Based System.
  18. Thank you guys so much for your replys.

No, I just took a guess since you have been using the 92's lately. I haven't heard to many good things about that camera. How is the 16X working out?

    Computer Problem (non-dvr)

I'm sure you have seen this but just in case:(From MSI WWW) Due to the High Performance Memory design, motherboards or system configurations may or may not operate smoothly at the JEDEC (Joint Electron Device Engineering Council) standard settings (BIOS Default on the motherboard) such as DDR voltage, memory speeds and memory timing. Please confirm and adjust your memory setting in the BIOS accordingly for better system stability. There are specific recommendations as far as Mem. config and placement. http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_spec.asp?model=K8N_Neo4_Platinum&class=mb What 2 slots do you have RAM in?
