  3. From what I have read that is not really true: "CCTV DVRs are expected to replace 50 percent of analog systems in 2005 and completely take over by 2010. Currently, PC-based DVRs continue to lead in the market, but demand for standalone DVRs is picking up steadily as these versions catch up in performance with a lower price. Runtime errors indicate bugs in the program or problems that the designers had anticipated but could do nothing about. Some Suggestions PLEASE!

I will be providing the 2 dome and 2 LCD's (composite input) So all I have come up with is this: Running both camera video feeds to a quad proc. Using the monitor output and splitting it between the 2 screens. Probably will need some sort of amp for Monitor output since the runs are fairly long..coming from a quad. I know picture on monitors is going to look horrible but thats what he wants. Any suggestions?

    Some Suggestions PLEASE!

Well, Just sold the guy a DVR. He can accomplish all he needs from that. After the Composite input LCD monitors, amps, quads, crazy cabling it wasnt worth it. He will put the DVR at one station use regular cheap LCD from the VGA output on vid Card. And use the DVI output from vid card with a DVI to VGA converter and run the VGA to second monitor at second station. Thanks for all the help guys..

    Price of Gas

Yea back to the subject of this thread. Gas went down again today_ $2.25 Glad I dont live in Ft. Lauderdale anymore.
  21. Yea your right, i too am a gamer nerd and notice a difference especially on some of the most recent releases (battlefied 2, doom3, farcry 2). They are making these games to eat up all your cpu, ram and video resources. But thats the point. These game developers get together with the Video card manufacturers (Nvidia, ATI) and make up a card to run the game at full speed.

Hey security master, those cameras are not from YOKOTEC. There chinese. I worked for MACE for 3 1/2 years..and am 100% certain they are china made and come from another manufacturer. They dont get anything from YOKOTEC at least from when I was there.

  25. Check this out: http://www.vorck.com/answers-ie.html#benefits There are a few pre-installation scripts and automated IE removals but all I have found them for is WIN2K. Also check out: http://www.vorck.com/remove-ie.html There is a way to remove Internet Explorer from Windows, but it's not worth the hassle. Whether or not you realize it, you actually do need IE; it's used throughout Windows. For example, Outlook, Word, Windows Explorer--basically any apps that need to render HTML--all rely on IE to some degree. If you remove IE, which requires editing your system registry files (something I don't recommend unless you have experience and a good backup first), you'll then have to associate these apps with another Web rendering product in order to view, for example, HTML-enabled e-mail. Not impossible, but I'm sure you have better use for your time. Instead, simply drag and drop your IE icon to the trash and just forget about it.
