What PC's are you using for your Geo Systems?

Desktop Management Task Force 4Mb Bios -
Sorry about that link intercity. But this ^ pretty much sums it up. Remote access and networking isn't the greatest.
-
You could also use a remote desktop program like VNC to connect to your desktop. Then there is no need for installation and maintenance of new software on your notebook.

Do you have an additional open input on your DVR card? -
Are you sure the 68 isn't behind the ladder?

How far away are the 2 pc's? What kind of Vid Card is in the POS system? -
There maybe a few more in that housing style left. But, from what I remember there all like the 53. Please call the re-seller before making any purchases to make sure 100%. I think you will be satisfied with the 53's performance and looks. They are pretty small, much smaller than they look from the pics.

How to capture POS screen on CCTV viewing panel?
kandcorp replied to homeless2's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Ok, so you have two seperate PC's; One for DVR and one for POS system? You want to be able to view the entire POS screen or just the text to be overlayed over one of your DVR video channels? Please provide both PC dvr specs and POS system specs. Basically if your POS system is Windows based it should be a pretty simple task. -
True, daytime color production is decent, but nightime is B&W so that doesn't matter. Cmon for $100+ what else could ya get. What if I told you they were made in Japan??

Yea you do get what you pay for, but for the money the 53 will outperform any other IR OEM bullet. For night vision, its great. There is a nice broad, bright spectrum of IR. Of course it's not going to perform as well as Extreme's cams, but their 10 times the price. Sometimes there is no need for that much IR or for that expensive of a camera. For convenience, retail, small businesses it's a perfect camera, Plus you get an integrated mic, which works pretty good. And their failure rate is very low.

For a completely dark view, that's a nice bright shot. But you're kinda freakin me out, you sure there is no light behind the ladder.

kodicom with 2 monitor, with diff screens on both
kandcorp replied to panjabi's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
So, can you run ultramon and only connect to the 4 cams you want your customer's to see. If you can achieve that and keep your local client software running than your set. How far is tha Cust. Monitor going to be from the PC? A 50 or 100Ft VGA cable with a DVI 2 VGA converter hooked up to your ATI vid card should do. -
So what do your guys use for focus filters. A piece of tinted glass or is there a specific material that works the best.

Does the DVR Card itself have a TV/Video output (RCA or BNC). Most PC DVR Cards have a TV out for those exact purposes. You can have the 2nd monitor only show selected cameras and sequence through them for a set period of time. Not to savvy on the kodicom cards, but maybe someone else will be able to help in the mean time. Another option would be to split the incoming video feeds from the 4 cameras to a quad processor and them to the monitor..but you may compromise video quality. Oh, and what's the Kodicom Center, is that the actual DVR software? Most of the time you cannot move the software screen on an extended desktop to the second display. -
The 43 and 53 are the same camera, as far as appearence. Don't let the online resellers fool you. The 43's dont look like this: They all look like the 53. you may get one with a 1/4 Sharp 420 TVL or 1/3 Sony 470 TVL. It's a lottery with those online retailers. To tell you the truth the 53 is only a 420TVL camera. But in my opinion the best bullet IR cam for the money. I worked at Mace for 3 1/2 years and had a lot of experience with those cameras.

Just out of Curiosity, what kind of job is this for?

Any High Pressure Sodium Lamps usually will cause poor color reproduction. Especially with cheap cams. I wonder how the SDIII would do in a warehouse type environment with HPS lamps.
