  1. Check please Lumenera cameras: http://lumenera.com/products/surveillance-cameras/index.php they have quite good low-light sensitivity and supported by different software vendors. for example Le165 has <0.01 lux at F 1.0. Day/night cameras are also availiable.
  2. Hello colleagues! In one of our tenders for video surveillance system our competitor offered Dynacolor Dynaguard DG 616U. Company specified in a datasheet that it supports recording from megapixel cameras. But i found just D1 resolution for recording mode for all cameras. Could you please advise - is it true or it support recording with megapixel resolution? If yes - how many cameras with which of resolution? Perhaps anyone has a manual for this recorder? I would be very grateful if you can give me one. Please give me an advice. It's very important
  3. May be u can reuse Coax by using Ip over Coax adapters see pix Advice please what manufacturer provide these transmitters?
  4. Did you use MJPEG or H.264 on Arecont? MJPEG looks of course pretty and better then H.264
  5. Robert, could you please post some screenshots here or mail me them? We would like to compare Basler cameras with cameras from others vendors
  6. Could anyone post screenshots here please or sent them via mail?
  7. From my experience we have used HP (PWR models), Cisco, D-Link and Planet. We installed at the last site 2610-24/12PWR. Switch works with 14 Avigilon cameras from 1 to 5 megapixel and 2 x encoders ENC-4PORT as well. There aren't any failures or data losts. At the other site we installed 2 x 2610-24PWR that give power and transmit data from 42 Arecont Vision cameras from 1.3 to 3 mpixel. Cisco work without failures as well, but i don't have enough information about this system. Extreme Networks have good edge and core swithces as well. But they are some more expensive then HP. At the other hand budget models like products from D-Link and Planet can work with small quantity of cameras. But in some cases they fail and lost data. For example 8-port D-Link switch with 4 PoE ports works with 5 Mobotix cameras with resolution 3 mpixel (5 camera connected through PoE injector). Sometimes we should go to the site due to switch failures (it losts 1-2 cameras periodically). If you would use PoE please look at the PoE Class. Some switch vendors (like Zyxel) provide an information about PoE in their switches for example 200 Watts for 24 ports. Then you should look at power consumption of your cameras that count total power consumption and understand how many ports with PoE you could use. HP promise that their 2610 family with PoE support will work with any PoE device (except some Cisco and Avaya IP phones). Some vendors specify supported PoE Class and overall consumption.
  8. You could use IR illuminator with camera. If you want to use IP camera i recommend you Spectra IP from Pelco or Autodome from Bosch or models from Extreme CCTV (currenlly Bosch) with powerful IR illuminator like Derwent or Forward Vision (Bosch as well). But initially IP camera has higher low-light sensitivity then analog camera. Also you could take ready complect "camera+IR" (there are few providers that supply such a equipment - Pelco, Videotec, Extreme CCTV etc) But if you need very high speed (one of colleagues in previous messages told about speed dome analog camera). You should use analog speed domes because there is delay in signal over IP transmition. For recording (in case with analog camera you) you can take any encoders (depend on your system). Do not hesitate to contact with me for additional info!
  9. Could you please give a tip what cameras you compare ACM-4200 with?
