Thank you for your reply but i have been looking at that for about 3 months now....i have totaly given up......all i want to do is control it,any way any how, either with a twisted pair rs485 up the coax or even with software over the net..its all plumbed into my dvr card which i can see over the internet and really easy to get to as the drx100/power supply is indoors.......i have now got to the stage where i just want someone to look at it and say "oh here is the problem)i soo need this up and running as i said in a previous post i have a mad man near by who just loves lighting fires...he sets light to the building next door to me quite frequently and just want to come home to a house and not flames and ash....the camera is running at the moment but it has presets in it so it just goes through the motions all day long.....steve

Hello. I was wondering if any body knows what protocol works with a dennard 2050 with a drx100..I amtrying to control the dome with software called ptz cntroller, but on the drop down list it does not state anything for dennard,t does have pelco d etc.i have set the baud rate to 9600 and tried all protocolsbut im not being able to control it....The other question is that i have used the serial port on the pc and connected pins 3 and 5 ,do these two cables become a twisted pair and go to the tp connectins in the drx100 ...Thank you Steve

Stevebayb posted a topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
Hello. Would any body be able to give me an idea how to control my dome camera. Its a Dennard 2050wp. I have mounted in on a wall with the DRX100 power supply and when i power it up after about 30 seconds it does a lap of honour and sets itself to the position i think it was last programed too.I have a VCL controller/telementry board with a what looks like a ethernet cable connection, and an old baxall very dated version with just push buttons...I have looked on the net for information about controlling it but to no avail. One other thing is that i have read up about the blue and yellow switches should be set to 0 and 1 but i can not see a 0 or 1 inside the case and my eyesight is very good. -
