I just got off the phone with Nuvico tech support (2nd time) and still no remote veiwing. I've had 3 AT&T techs try to get this problem resolved, nothing. All techs logged on to my computer and couldn't get it to work. Wow. At&t says its the the Nuvico DVR. Nuvico says its the At&t router. I want to like this unit but all it has given me is WASTED HOURS talking about IP addresses and pinholes!!!

I sent the DVR back to Nevico and their were problems with the unit. I'm about to try this remote setup again. After reading Harrar's post I'm thinking this is a lost cause.

I have spent three Sundays (my day off) on the phone with techs (remotely) trying to setup my DSL Netopia router to portforward my Nuvico EV8000 to view my cameras at my store remotely. I have also spent hours on the phone with AT&T troubleshooting why the signal isn't working. All techs say, "It should be working." I called Nuvico and had a tech who I could hardly hear be rude to me and say it's not their problem. THANKS! I have spent over three thousand dollars on a machine that has no tech support. ANY HELP??? WHERE DO I GO TO GET NUVICO SUPPORT? thanks, Robbie

so use the dvr should use the same gateway and mask. I should enter the dvr's ip in the pinhole ip entry. To view the dvr from i enter the ip address of the router? or dvr? is their an option in the routers config that may not be turned out that is blocking me from seeing the dvr?

Do I use the WAN's IP as the DVR's IP or Gateway?
-
When I put the WAN's IP In the IE I do not connect
-
When I add a pinhole it has an IP ADDRESS ENTRY is that the router's IP or the DVR's?
-
So I change my DVR's IP to the router's WAN IP and use the same gateway and mask? When I add a pinhole for the DVR what internal IP do I use?
-
I can view my EV8000 DVR at work through my Netopia 3000/27619540 wireless router but when I get to my house the ip address that works at work does not work at home. Any thoughts? I did go by the sticky on port forwarding and it did not work.

ok......I created a pinhole for the DVR and wrote down the router's internal ip address listed after I created the pinhole. Changed the ip address and gateway address on the DVR to the router's internal ip address. I also change the port of the DVR to what I found on the router (port80). Now I can connect with CMS Lite without the program kicking me off line in IE BUT the boxes are black, NO PICTURE. Did I set it up correctly? If I did set up right (which would be pure luck) what is the next step? I am using Vista on a brand new laptop. robbie

The options I found in advance mode: IPMaps Set up NAT one-to-one IP address mappings Default Server Set up NAT default server options NAT Table Monitoring Set up NAT Table Monitoring options For the DVR What should the IP Address, Netmask, Gateway, DNS Server be? I tried all the steps for port forwarding listed on this website with no results. Please help, my boss wants this fixed!

My DVR is a EV-8000. I changed the DVR's IP to my Netopia's router gateway address. Both units have the same gateway address and subnet mask address. My router does not have the Applications & Gaming Section / Servers of the Router, you need to add a Server/Application option. I'm using the 7000 port of the DVR. CMS lite and IE opens now but it kicks me offline when it connects to the DVR. I still didn't see a picture though. Thanks for your replies, Robbie

I'm typing in my IP Address and port setting and I cannot view my DVR with the IE Live View. The DVR is hooked up to my broadband with an ethernet cable and it's also wireless. I also tried CMS Lite and I get an invaild message. Any help would be great!! Robbie
