I have corrected this problem but have ran into another.
I deinstalled and deleted all software on the PC related to GeoVision. Then I installed the new 8.31 again fresh. No issues doing this. I then tried the remote access from a PC using I.E. 8. Was able to get the newer looking login screen. I entered the user ID and password and the system pass the data across to the server and it in turn return the newer looking page where I could either see current images and or choose recorded information plus a couple other choices.
The problem arises at this point where the webpage freezes and any other webpage I could have open (unrelated to this topic) hangs. I tried clearning out any cached pages in the browers but the problem remains.
When I look at the resource on this PC CPU and memory is not a problem. It only showes that the web pages are not responding.
Anyone have any ideas what could be going on?
Thanks

Maybe someone can offer me some direction. I have upgraded our geo software from 7.1 to 8.31 and everything seemed to be working correctly. I tried to access the webserver from the IE browser 8. We connect to the server and the initial screen pops up "Compression Selection" and we select MPEG 4 encoder view. Then press the O button and thats all we get. The screen seems to flash but the same "Compression Selection" screen appears without bringing up the user id / password box.
This was not a problem for us in version 7.1 but is now and we can not log into the viewer from a browser.
Hope someone can help.
