Is it possible to replace a lens on a CNB VBM-24VF with a Megapixels, f=3.0~8mm, F1.0, DC Auto Iris, CS Mount: model number M13VG308? I am just wondering if this would make a difference in the image quality/light sensitivity as this is f1.0 v f1.2 for stock lens.

Has anybody tried the new CNB Mona Lisa cameras ie: VBM-24VD? How do they compare to the Panasonic 484s or new 504s?
-
I installed two IR's with the CNB's. Have not adjusted them yet, but the CNB's are reacting good to the IR light: http://s792.photobucket.com/albums/yy204/alschmid/

I am thinking of switching from ATT dsl to Comcast cable. The Comcast is faster, but does not have a static IP. How would I set up Dyndns on the Avermedia for remote viewing?
-
It actually did help out quite a bit. I am seeing 3fps on all 4 cameras now. I was seeing 1fps before.
-
I am wishing I had a newer model now. I am going to upgrade my internet speed to 14/3 and hopefully this will help.

I do not have a CD key. is there a default field I can provide? If not could you PM me the information.

Makes sense. I am sure other factors come into play when taking recorded resolution into factor such as chipsets and FPS. What brands of DVRs have you tested provide the best playback resolution?
-
Do any reputable companies make a 2 D1 resolution DVR?

Which one of the cameras above would be the better choice? The Panasonic looks to be a good camera, but I don't know how it would do in no to little light without IR. The Samsung has IR and is supposed to have a dynamic range chip also?

I am getting an error saying not authentication

Great. Thanks for the link. Hopefully this will solve all of the slow viewing issues I am having with CMS and webviewer.

To set this up now with a static IP I would just need to enable port 5550 on my router for port forwarding then login to the yourdetails.tw:5500 url? Right now I have port 800 set up as my forwarding port on my router (port 80 was blocked by my isp)

Is that why the playback is so slow over CMS? I have never used remote console, but do cannot find a correct login to use.
-
What is the difference between remote console, desktop manager and CMS? Currently I am logging into CMS while at home for monitoring, and using IE while away by entering my IP and port. Am I missing something by not using the remote console and desktop manager?

I agree that in MOST LOW LIGHTING situations these cameras will work fine. Complete darkness is a different story, and adding a separate IR illuminator will help out in those situations (as seen on the sides of my home which are pitch black).

Nice pics. Order some of the bullet Ir's off of ebay and you will be really happy. http://s792.photobucket.com/albums/yy204/alschmid/?action=view¤t=20100323_200146.jpg

Very nice comparison. I am messing around with an IR illuminator and the CNB's seem to respond quite well. Will post pics as soon as I get them set up.

Did some tweaking on CNB's: http://s792.photobucket.com/albums/yy204/alschmid/

Are you using the default settings or have you adjusted BLC, DNR, and AGC?
-
Yes, MS is a nice hot area in the South. Here is a link to the initial setup: http://s792.photobucket.com/albums/yy204/alschmid/. I have the brightness cranked up a little too much on the cameras set at 15 out of 0-20 range. DNR is set to high, BLC set to high, AGC set to 1 out of 0-20 range. I am going to fine tune adjust them later, and this is just a rough setup. Image quality may not be quite as good as 484s at this point, but they do appear to be a very formidable camera for the price. The last cameras I had were actually pretty good in image quality but did not handle the light differences very well (see comparison on other photos labeled "Paige RG59"). I would say overall they are a good value. I will post updated pictures once they are optimally adjusted.
-
I will try to post some as soon as I get them all set up.
-
I have AGC set at 1. I live in Mississippi and it is very sunny/hot here. No problems at all so far. I like them better than the 484s so far.
-
AGC can be adjusted from 0-20. You CAN adjust the AGC on this camera
-
These seem to handle the bright light/shadows fairly well even though they are not classified as WDR I had the 484s for a short period of time and was not impressed with them for the price. The AGC is adjustable on these cameras.
