I just got 4 CNB Mona Lisa cameras in. I have one installed. Low light seems to be pretty impressive without IR. Compared to my other cameras, picture quality seems to be the same to slightly better, but low light is a lot better. Overall, I would say they rival the Panasonic 484s and even beat it in low light. I will post a screenshot once I get it focused properly and set up.

Last pic may be due to cable issue/focus/cheap baluns? Others look pretty good.

Thanks Soundy for the pics. These pics look pretty good (baluns/cable) must be the problem on outdoor cams. Do you think these cams are in the same league as the pany's?

Thanks for the compliment. I am in the process of deciding if I am going to upgrade to CNB's new Mona Lisa chip cameras. The cable was the first step in making a great picture.

It is cheap premade "RCA Type" cable. This is the thin premade cable that some are selling that is very thin with BNC connectors and a power pigtail and not true RG59 95% copper cable that you have to attach a BNC and power pigtail to.

I believe the 20 series does not have the new "Mona Lisa" chip. I have heard good things about CNB though (even the older series). If they are in the same class as the Panasonic, they would save you some money.

Do these cameras have the new mona lisa chip?

I finally got my new cable installed for the 484s cameras. After a long day of pulling wire, I discovered a couple major problems. The cameras power on with the good 18/2 vs cheap RCA, which did not work with the cameras (100 feet junk). I found out one of my cameras is missing two buttons, and another is missing a mounting bracket. Needless to say, I am not very happy about the merchant I purchased them from.

Yes, hopefully they will resolve the issue. I put the cameras on my AMEX card which has always sided with me if I have had an issue with a chargeback. Hopefully I will not have to utilize the chargeback process, but it is nice to know I have that option.

I purchased them from an online supplier that said the cameras were re-certified by Panasonic. Either Panasonic did a lousy job checking the cameras, or the supplier is selling garbage to consumers. I have purchased re-certified products before and have not had this issue like this.

What is the maximum run without distortion for rca type pre-made Siamese cable? I have 4 100 foot runs and am wondering if going to rg59 would make much of a difference. I have noticed most pre-made cables are of the RCA type and very thin, but quality wise is this an issue? I am assuming I have premade RCA cable as the cable seems very thin. Is there a way to verify?

I am having a problem with my new Panasonic CW484 cameras. The cameras will not work with the premade siamese (100ft) but will work by plugging directly into the power adapter and monitor. Has anybody had this issue?

I just got my Panasonic CW484s cameras. I tried to hook one up and the picture is scrambled and cuts in and out. I hooked it up via a 10 foot RCA cable and directly to the power adapter and it works. I am thinking the cheap 100 foot siamese RCA cables or power supply is at play. I have a power block rated at 5 amps. What do you think the problem is given it works at the dvr but not at the location? Could it be loosing power through the cheap siamese cables, power supply problem or do you think it is a video loss problem? Thanks for all your inputs.

Does the ground wire need to be utilized in a 12DC application for the cameras to work? I do not have a good ground available at the mounting locations.

Cameras are NTSC...They work when plugged directly into the dvr and power supply but not with the siamese. It may be a video signal loss problem, or maybe under load the voltage is fluctuating?

I retested by using the center as the positive probe, and I probed the negative to the outside of the male connector. The NEW reading is 12.15v inside and 12.15v outside. It appears there is no voltage drop....I wonder what could be the problem?
