Hi, I have a dvr with 500gb hard drive, it records for around 2 weeks before overwriting footage I want to only record 3 days then it overwrites Is this a common setting on dvr's? Or can I be done? Thanks

i have purchased this out right 1 year ago from this company, only getting round to setting it up and getting an error "HARD DISK FAIL" looking to know if anyone has used it before or anything about it as it is completely unbranded and i dont know where to start

in what "format" should i format the disk too? NTFS? Fat? Fat32? etc before deleting the partition? Downloaded maxtor software(Max Blast) to try the zero fill method but there does not seem to be an option to do that thanks for the info guys

Hi have bought a 4ch DVR and when setup and recording it stops and displays "HARD DISK FAIL" I then formatted the hard disk from the DVR itself, to no avail. anyone any ideas? Would the hard disk be faulty or does it need formatted to fat 32 etc? Any help appreciated
