I'm considering the Optex VX402R for the motion sensor. What receiver would be best with this to power up the camera?

I'd prefer to use something other than a VCR, but haven't had time to check into it. I'd rather record to a computer but have no clue about it yet. I could use a book on the subject. The VCR does not record if the camera is off. The VCR senses a video signal and only records when a video signal is present. It's a feature Sony calls "sensor record".

What I need is something I can plug the camera power cord into that would receive a wireless signal from the motion detector.

What lens do you have? If you have a "zoom" lens, there should be two (or more) rings on it. The "zoom" function will typically be marked "T ~ W" (Telephoto/Wide). If you have a fixed lens, then there may not be any rings or one ring for focus only. That must be the problem. The lens is a Computar "auto iris tv lenses dc drive series". There is no marking for T ~ W on it that I can see.

Yes, that's the camera. I don't know how to set it to zoom.. This forum had deleted my reply numerous times and showed the above message.
