    Car Television

We just bought a 2001 Suburban with a Visteon television. It is the flip down kind. It has two buttons one is on/off the other one is missing and we assume it is to make the volume go from the headphones to the speakers. The on/off button pushes in and out the other one just had a little piece of plastic in it and we can't get it to push or turn. What should it do and does it really control volume?

Suggestions For A Driveway Camera ??

The minimum driveway security system in our professional opinion would consist of a GeoVision 650 PC based DVR along with a 17" LCD and a single Bullet Camera. The details of even the most basic system can vary greatly but the above hardware is an entry level shipping list to get the the job done right. " title="Applause" /> " title="Applause" />

What is the highest CCTV camera resolution?

The new breed of high-resolution security cameras with mega-pixel image sensors can supercharge your system’s performance and efficiency, but you’ve got to use the best lenses to get the full benefits [edit: links removed]

    LED question

I've been looking for a new monitor for ages but I don't like LCDs. I've tried four (three monitors and one tv) and haven't liked any of them. The problem with them is the silvery appearance you get when you view anything dark, which I believe is backlight coming through and can't be avoided with LCDs. And when you're not looking at it head on (it shows up around the edges if you're looking at it in the middle), which I believe is an issue with viewing angle. I'm curious if LEDs will have the same issue. I've read articles about them that refer to backlighting, but is that the same thing as in LCDs? Will it still cause that silvery appearance? Thank you.

    where to buy avtech dvr

The first thing I would tell you is to find out how you are going to use your DVR. The second thing we need to know is this to be used for "security is of the essence", or is this for "budget is of the essence"? If you choose a DVR for budget is of the essence then the AVTech wins every time. For the price you cannot beat an AVTech. Thanks !!!
  12. Hi The AVermedia EB1304NET is a high-quality compact recorder that combines the function of a surveillance recorder and multiplexer into one unit. It takes in up to 4 video channels and digitally encodes the video streams into the latest compression method Thanks @@@
  13. I got a cheap nasty IP camera from Jaycar (not wireless but I think they have wireless ones now). It's not too bad, but the motion detect FTP part seems to crash after a few days, and it's crap in low light, and it needs Active X to work. And when the FTP did work, it never created folders on the FTP server with the correct date... you could never find the images you needed, even though you set the time on the cam with NTP. The Axis camera are great, I've also looked at a couple of Panasonic network cameras.. these are great performers too....

    What Camera to buy?

I am looking to get a good SLR, I have quite a bit of experience in photography but this will be my first digital SLR. I do have a budget of about £500, though i will spend more if i have to. I am really looking at a Nikon or a Canon. I have looked at everything from the D40, D90 (which is a bit out of my budget) and the EOS 500 and 1000. I want the camera for hobby and possible professional use. So if anyone can suggest the best one that would be great. Thankyou
  15. The Panasonic DMC-FS62 packages a 33mm 4x optical zoom Leica DC VARIO-ELMARIT lens with f/2.8 brightness into a slim, compact body. Boasting 10.1 megapixels and a high resolution 2.5” 230,000-dot LCD monitor with intelligent LCD function, the FS62 is a great little performer. It has an Intelligent Auto mode that automatically activates camera functions. RRP $279.

Need some Help finding a camera.

The best thing is, you go to the camera shop, tell them about your budget . ask them what they have. Then from there, you might only short list it and get some feedback from the user. happy searching =D Thanks

    Need Long Range IP Camera

Hello I recommend Axis 233D Network Dome Camera because Axis 233D is designed for use in challenging surveillance applications - such as airports, stadiums, casinos and ports - where the ability to follow moving objects from a long distance and see great detail is crucial. Thanks

    Camera not working at night

Hi, As far as I know they are the same quality, but RCA are found to be more popular connection on equipment these days. You can get BNC cables that also convert to RCA by screwing RCA tips into the BNC plugs. That way you can have the best of both worlds and probably would be a cheaper way to compare.
