    Good manufacturers of Height-Strip cameras

I wish someone on this forum would have some experience with the actual height strips, but hey it's ok. Meanwhile, is the camera quality of the original Honeywell looking good? Is Honeywell a respectable camera brand. (From what I've saw on the web, it looks like Honeywell bought the company that was originally making the ExitView height-strip. It was named "SilentWitness.com". I'm not sure though) Do the height strips on Ebay look good specs wise?

    Good manufacturers of Height-Strip cameras

Usually people don't stay at the main door of a convenience store. They get in, buy their stuff, and get out. So, it's possible to get good shots of the person's face almost 100% of the time.

    Good manufacturers of Height-Strip cameras

I agree that the picture in the original post looks ugly. But, I've seen two of those installed in two convenience stores. They were installed on the metal frame of a metal and glass door and it looked good. Ebay has some inexpensive clones as usual. I don't understand why there's almost no traces of this device here on this forum. I believe the idea is brilliant!

    Good manufacturers of Height-Strip cameras

Here's why : Honeywell’s ExitView height strip camera is a discreet and cost-effective solution for loss prevention, inventory shrinkage, and robbery. A high performance CCD camera within a height strip that can be mounted on or beside the door frame, ExitView captures the full face of the culprit at eye level, in full color, as they exit the premises. ExitView is one of the most inexpensive solutions to tighten in-store security and make it easier to identify and prosecute criminals. With clear visual identification, prosecution of the offender and recovery of goods is easier than ever before. ExitView represents the latest achievement in business protection that incorporated a CCD camera with a height strip. Source Link
  6. Hi, An height-strip camera seems a very good addition to any store since it catches the face of every customers who get out of the store. I know about the Honeywell ExitView® . Is there any other manufacturers of very good height-strip cameras please?

Stapler / Tacker for siamese RG59/U 18/2 cable

I think this is good advice. I think I'll go with the screw-able zip ties (Mountable head Cable Tie) then. Thank you all a lot for your input!

Stapler / Tacker for siamese RG59/U 18/2 cable

No Lowes arround here. Is it like the Arrow T72 Insulated Fastener Wire Tacker. I've also found the Acme 75A Staple Gun For NM Building Wire (Like 14/2 and 12/2) for cables up to 1/2". "Patented design will not crush or damage cables and wires" "The unique staple driving system of the 75A will not damage or sever building wire and delicate cables."

Stapler / Tacker for siamese RG59/U 18/2 cable

Is the web wide enough, in a way that a T25 will do a good job without harming any conductors? (I could have tried myself, but my first order of siamese cable is in the mail right now)

    RG59 Braid density : Important?

    Cool thanks!

    RG59 Braid density : Important?

I thought that 95% meant that 95% of the braid was made of copper (and 5% of other metal). So if I understand well, in fact it means 95% of the shield area is covered by the braid. And the braid is 100% copper. Is that right?
  14. Hi, I think I know the answer to this one, but just to make sure : Is the Braid density important for CCTV on a RG59 cable? I see a lot of online stores and some cables are cheap, but I guess we get what we pay for. For example, would you choose the cable in the first picture if it was really cheaper? Cable 1: Cable 2:

Best indoor camera for small convenience store under 100$?

What about the Gadspot GS648B for 40$ ? I like that it's a dome camera, with 520TV Lines, and the IR illumination . But... Could the IR leds on that camera bother the quality of the image? Could the GS644C have a better IR design? Is there any dome camera with same specs, similar price and a better LED design?
