Keep Track of IP Address on your DVR Side (when it works and when it don't) If the IP is different double check with your DDNS if it match no problem with DDNS or Dynamic IP if not you know what to do Very few ISP block hosting on Dynamic IP call ISP and confirm tell more about the configuration what do you mean?

Most of the time the Keypro error only show up if the GV card is not genuine, or the drivers are not installed correctly or the computer is shut down or restart improperly leading to the cause of driver or other files corruption (Investigate more on computers day to day health) It’s hard to predict what’s worng in your case and since you cannot even go on site that makes it harder to resolve. I would suggest calling GV Tech Support and take some tips from there

Most of the time it happens because of Hardware or Software malfunction

Is the line on all the camera? (Most of the time it's because of the bad power supply insufficient power supply) do you see the line even in remote view? (Just make sure it's not monitor problem)
-
what problem you see with internet explorer and is your client using it for remoteview? what is the version of Internet explorer?

Geovision has a utility called KeyLock, whenever you install GV Software it adds that to the program just go to start and gv folder you will see there I hope you are not running an old old version of GV If I remember right they started providing keylock with version 6.1 Just add that utility to your startup folder and it will run whenever you restart the computer good luck...

if the only reason for remote desktop is to run DMMultiView just open ports and let him use from outside it would be much easier and safe
-
What version is the Card and also what is the version of the GV Software? Also make sure you have an original geovision card if it's not then there is no help possible
-
Also make sure there is no internal or external firewall blocking ports on your DVR system
-
First make sure you have all the recording following the path explore the drive folder where the recording is stored if you see any old recording in there where it use to record and also make sure the new suftware is pointing to the same path I don't think there should be any problem for geovision to pull old Mpeg4 format recording with new software. good luck....

It depends on what type of camera you have and what you plan to install looking at the consumption of each camera Amps and what Max you can get from Power Supply Box You can go with fuse Box Power Supply or go with Fuse "PTC" (Auto Solid State Fuse) so you do not have to replace fuse at all Each channel is protected mostly at 1.1 Amps Max

Hello Parth, If by closing webcam everything gets normal than there is someone streaming video from your system change all passwords in geovision system and see if that solves the problem. -

Hello, I would recommend CNB Technology IR Weatherproof Camera 530TVL B2760N-CNB it's 6mm lens 34 IR Led good enough for your purpose it will save you $50 or more If not then B2760NVF-CNB 3.8mm~9.5mm 18 IR Led’s 530 TVL veri-focal The only difference is CNB is its Branded and you get what you pay for.

Can you view camera on the same laptop via IE? if not than there is more to setup than just Network
-
Hi There Welcome to CCTV Business Yes there is always a difference in quality and price when comparing Branded to Unbranded Branded make sure what they mention on specs do deliver in the product with good customer support and warranty Unbranded there is less than 10% chance of getting specs to be true and price is surely lower. Learning between branded and unbranded and again under branded which brand is a learning process Keeping in mind what project you have what are the expectation of the buyer budget wise and what he wants to see via CCCTV System, than how much you want to make and how much time it will take to complete the job all this will lead to make informed decision and you will get better job after job. It’s always good to start with small jobs and in your case I would recommend compare price within branded camera and look that is close to the price with unbranded camera and buy branded least you know what you are proposing to your clients.

I f you are using the same laptop one ued at home there is no issues with Activex unless you have a diffrent profile or login for work. Make sure Port Forwarding is done right and all the Port required in order to view are forwarded to the IP of the DVR with proper Port numbers and Protocol, also double check on the DVR to verfiy if those ports are mentioed in DVR Setup right. Ir works from home because you are on the same local network. Good Luck
-
I would recommend CNB Technology HDF1212 H.264 DVR well known company and Brand with better price, support USB Mouse and also come with IR remote control it will record on motion and does some trigring based on Alarm I am not sure about email part It does have VGA + TV Out Put so can be use with what ever you have one feature that is not mentioed by CNB but it's tere is putting camera in Covert mode that means it will not show on the TV or Monitor but still record.

Using DVRs with RS-232 linked Point-Of-Sales Overlays
tsd replied to huwbler's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Yes AVE would be the best choise but make sure you understand which interface cable you need based on POS System and it’s Interface as you mentioed RS-232 that mostly send data on Customer Display or Receipt Printer. AVE VSI Pro is the most common Device used for Text Inserter but you have to ask for right interface cable that will make it work. Good Luck -
how much you willing to pay

Thanks Survtech for in depth info on CCTV Cables In a layman term choosing Coaxial Cable for CCTV refer earlier post Good luck

The best choice to get what you want is to go with true IP mega pixel camera 1 can do the work of 4 camera and you can use your home computer to record the video
