I have been doing allot of research on an outdoor PC based CCTV system.
I am looking for input as I set up the system to get it to do what I want it to do.
This will be a low budget system to start. I ordered 2000' of cat5e shielded to start.
Two 500' runs for up to 8 cams and one for four audio feeds. I will have 2 15amp
lines for ac power. This will all be located in the woods 500' from my house.
All power, IR lighting, cam feeds and sound will be fed from that location to other
locations on the farm. some locations may require solar power. This will be a FREE
24/7 365 live feed wildlife camera system. the way I am setting it up it will start with
one cam due to costs but easy to upgrade and add to.
What I am looking for right now is software.
1 able to monitor 1-8 cams of choice with and without sound.
2 record all feeds 24/7. (Approx how many gig/hour 1cam?)
3 motion group detection switching (upload bandwidth saver)
4 upload to the web selected single feeds or motion group at the same time.
I know there is allot of these programs out there and that's the problem.
I am looking for a cost effective program for what i need it to do. The more
options the better
