  1. Hi, I know this was posted some time ago but was wondering if you've ever gotten this figured out. I'm trying the same thing with the same camera but instead of the DVR, I'm using a chinese ptz control keyboard. only has RS 485 OUT. I've even gotten the RS485 TO RS232 converter in between and still no love. Any suggestions??? T
  2. I am looking for a standalone wired PTZ controller to be used with the Canon VC-C50i PTZ camera. The only controller I have found that specifically lists this camera is the Telemetrix controller but this controller only has 6 presets and is ridiculously expensive. I only need to control 1 camera and would like to use the inexpensive Telpix PTC TP3000. This controller has everything I am looking for including a built in 3.5in LCD monitor and claims to be multi protocol. Connections are RS485 All Canon tech support could tell me is that the camera accepts RS232. Can anyone tell me if the Canon VC-C50i camera and the Telpix PTC TP3000 will communicate with each other and what do i need to adapt, program, etc. Any help is greatly appreciated.
