rito started following Has anyone tried Windows 7 with Geovision, Hello to everybody! and geovision not working as expected

I finally did it... I installed the latest BIOS version to the Gigabyte motherboard and now most of the problems are solved!

Today I replaced the GT 210 with a GT 250. Nothing has changed. I thing it is better to use older hardware with Geo products. I also tried to decrease the number of cores inside the bios. I tried 1 and 2 cores only but nothing has changed...

Hi! Have you tried different Graphic card? I would day that is the reason! Also if it is an onboard VGA, that is not always the best, and as usual a sign that the motherboard is a lower end board! JD My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 and it is supposed to be a good one... probably has some kind of incompatibility since Garraty has the same M/B and the same problem with me. My video card is a Gigabyte GT 210 (512MB) and tommorrow I will see what happens if I replace it. Is there anybody having problems with the I7 processor and the new PCi exress Combo cards? I read that Quad Core don't feet well with Geo V8.3

Today I tryied my cards on a P4 2.8 with PCi express and both of them worked fine. Ofcourse they used all CPU power just for the live view to work. Now that i know the problem is not in the cards, I am not sure if I should change the whole computer with a dual core, or if I can just change the Gigabyte motherboard with another brand. Garraty did you try the ASUS motherboard? Because I am planning to buy one...

My HDD as well as the DVD is connected to the blue SATA controller. I was reading other threads and it looks like the Quad Core processors don't feet so well with the V8.3 software and the new PCi Express cards. But there are people how says that I7 works fine for them with V8.3. On Monday a friend will borrow me his computer to test it. I thing it has a Core 2 processor.

I have two 1480A and a Quad core I7 and it has many problems... Did it work for you? The minimum requirements, according to Geovision, for running two cards in turbo mode is I7 920 which is quad core. How is it possible that these cards don't feet with Quad core since Geovision says that they work ONLY with quad core?

Hi! I feel very lucky to find this post... I have the same problem and the same PC setup! And I was planing to make the same changes in order to solve the problem. (So I saved a lot of time by reading the post!!) To be more specific, this is my setup: CPU: I7 920 M/B: Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 RAM: Corsair 3GB DDR3-1600 Ram Kit PSU: Chieftec 650W Video: Gigabyte GT 210 (512MB) HDD: 750GB Windows Vista Business Geovision GV1480A X 2 (32 CH ) PAL CCTV cameras Since I have two GV1480A cards I tried to install them separately and the problem remains. I also noticed that when I plug in more cameras the problem becomes worst. The image will freeze on most cameras. It gives the impression that there is not enough processing power or bandwidth... So in my opinion it is probably a motherboard issue. I explored the BIOS but didn't find anything concerning the PCI express. I will try to install the cards on a different PC and I will post the results. PS.: 1) Version 8.2 and earlier is not supported from your card. 2) Try to install more cameras at once and see what happens...
