I suggest that you find the closest one to you, and sell their stuff, it will save u money on shipping, and probably could get your hands on quicker.

I think that this is a discussion that should be moved to the Dealer Section, you guys are talking about suppliers to us, so that every end-user in the world can see it.

Netpromax PAIN
Securitymaster replied to Modell's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Have you contacted Netpromax yet? One of their technical people is a member here, you probably have a software issue that can easily be resolved.. here: http://netpromax.net/contact_us.html -
Post pics at nightime for the same cams to see the difference.

The mace looks better to me.

it's been 420 seconds.

Dude, I won't get out of bed for $20, or even $80 per camera, TRUST ME.
-
Forget MACE, just from the support horror story that I read from one of the members, NEVER. Look at the CP CAM line. I know a lot of you are not fans of AVTECH, but this company has, let's say their own division, and the product and prices are not bad at all. I'm not going to sit here and tell you all that they are the best of the best, and whatnot, but I can defenetly say this, for a low budget job, and a simple to use DVR system, they can't be beat, I have sold this to count less old school customers who took a year to learn a VCR, and they get the basic hang of it relativily quickly.

No dude, not a $20 dollar camera, they really don't care that the "chroma" was turned off, or that a green carpet looks bluish, I explained that to them. All they cared about is that the camera has a good image under very low light, and this did it. They are extremely happy with the cameras, expecially on the dance floors, with all of the strobes and laser lights and what not. I sold them the CPCAM CDP371.

I guess that he doesn't want the GEO software screwing with windows.

Camera temperature [heat, not color] ranges?
Securitymaster replied to jmccorm's topic in Security Cameras
Where are you located that is that cold? -
But of course not, but for the price to the customer? why not, remeber, not everyone wants to pay 250-400 for a camera, but hey, the low budget clients pay the bills too.
-
rory there? I guess that I'm going too

Well, funny thing happened. Right after I posted this thread, I got a call from one of my customers, who happens to be a bar/nightclub. I just put in 4 IR color bullet cameras and the guy is extremely happy with it, compared to the domes that he used to have. You are correct in saying that if the camera is easily reachable to use a dome, but in this case, the cameras where high enough that is not going to be a problem.
-
You know, I hve been using color IR bullet cameras for bar installs, and I have had very good results. I hvae used the CPCAM 371, and the Provideo 7706, and some OEM taiwanesse ones. I got to be honest, they might not look the same as a good B/W camera, but for clients like his, who wants color, I put those up, and when the camera switches to B/W, I tell them that this is how the camera works. Give it a try, you have nothing to loose, I'm pretty sure that you got to have one laying around in your shop that you can try.

Stand Alone DVR w/ video capture through network GUI?
Securitymaster replied to darren p.'s topic in Digital Video Recorders
CPCAM Pentplex units allows you to do just that. -
Are you THAT bored?? same time as you
-
I think scottj can answer you better than anyone I know when it comes to GEO stuff.

Most of the time you could get away by getting your own hard drive. But first, let's start by helpig you choose th right system for you. I got a few questions to ask you to help us determine what you should get. 1. How is the lighting on the area? 2. Where are you located? to determine if you need something like a heater/blower housing. 3. Are you thinking 24/7 recording, or just motion detection? 4. What are the agles of view, meaning if a 3.6mm lens would be good enough, or if you require a varifocal.

I think that you need to review your component list, nuvico is in my opinion overpriced with their stuff.

Damm, that dude had balls to do it in broad daylight.
