Question on wiring.
Securitymaster replied to Securitymaster's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
I think that Threaded will be the way to go, because another concern is that the location of the install is a good bulding, but other people in the area are the problem, so I don't want them to mess with the camera or the line. I've seen some installations that the PVC lines are plain cut thru. -

Securitymaster replied to drapme's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Na rory, they are not pico boards. From what I saw one time is that they actually look like commart cards, but with their own in-house software. Going to look at one later in the week, will see what I can find out. -
NVT / UTP NEWB - NVT advice required- please help

Ok, there are a few things that you need to do: 1st, extreme cameras and Ir's are VERY VERY power hungry. For this case, you should double up the pairs for the power, one strand is, in my opinion, not safe enough. You can still use one pair for video with no problems. To answer your question on the unit, you need to tell us how far are the cameras from where you are planning to use the NVT reciever, they recommend anything over 750' to be active transivers. Second, what NVT modules are you using at the cameras? Post this information and I can provide you with an answer. I'm finishing a job just like yours, and it was a lot of trial and error to get everything working 100%. -

Question on wiring.
Securitymaster replied to Securitymaster's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
The install is going to be exterior attached to the building. My main concern was that some states don't like EMT in the exterior because of lighting issues, plus the metal is conductive if a wire (we are talking 120 VAC here) get's stripped, then it could shock whoever touches it. -
Geo is not the best.

Hey man, make your fonts normal like everyone else. -
Been using IE7 since beta 1, mainly to test against DVR's and whatnot. After Beta 2 came out, I haven't had a problem yet. I still have firefox as my main browser anyhow. On another topic, I just got Office 2007 Beta, and so farm it's a really good package, but I have to still see if it's worth the money to upgrade from 2003, to 2007.

Chance-I cards also have the timeline. -
get a bug zapper, and put it out of the view of the camera, best next to it, and that should cure your problems in a few days.
