-
yea i am not finding any luck on the 600ft range of having a well lit area at night I can say that my 200 ft camera looking at my gate does pretty well.
-
i had this same problem from installing a heated camera in a Freezer at a local hospital.. I tried anti fog spray, unplug heater and other things... i found that a bullet camera is the best thing in a situation like this...
-
thanks for the reply... i will probably need to be seeing around a 50ft wide span..Any suggestions on type of camera now??
-
I am looking to find a good camera that will stretech out to see my barn at roughly 600ft away??? any suggestions
-
he did say that it wasnt completely focused due to the rain... but i have to say i use a decent DVR along with these cameras and love them.
-
well i just purchased VBM-24VF and have to say I LOVE this camera for the cost. I installed this on my house and haven't been happier since. Now i will recommend you get a DVR that will actually show the quality these cameras put out. I have 3 of these and even in low light conditions these cameras produce great quality... alot better than any IR camera.

Ok so my dad has hooked up with a psycho and she is being evicted next week. We know she will be coming back to the house during the day without us being there. She has no job and claims she has nowhere to go... On to what i need. I will be putting a new security system in the house and will need around 3-4 cameras. One to look up the driveway and 2 to look at doors.; This is a 7600 sqft house so running wire might be a problem. Any suggestions on cameras that could record using my desktop and have somewhat good clairty???

So i am thinking about using this Low light Dome camera at my house(outside). The cameras will be around flood lights that are dim at night until movement is scene and that's when the flood lights brighten.. Do you think these are somewhat good cameras for my application or do you have an alternative. All opinions are greatly appreciated This cameras value is around 180. So if you have an alternative please stay around this mark up to 250 dollars. Can i please get some ideas on a camera that will see at night and be around the 150 to 200 dollar mark and still give good images. (i know the more money the better image but this is what im working with) I have searched and searched and there are so many crap cameras out there and i am afraid i will end up with one. Anyone with experience with the 150 dollar range cams got any suggestions? I was looking at this particular camera for my gate that is roughly 150 ft away. Is this camera sufficient or no? This is the LTS High Power (Google it and you will see what I am talking about) Features: * 1/3" Sony Super HAD CCD * 540 TV Lines, Sony HQ1 * 8 Pcs. Hi Power IR LEDs plus 22 Pcs. 5mm LED * Japan Canon 8.0mm - 40.0mm Vari-focal Lens * 0.01 Lux @ F2.0 (0 Lux IR On) * IR Distance 60 - 80 Meters (180FT - 240FT) * Weather Proof IP65 Rating * 12V DC, 1500mA (IR On) Now i need 3 other cameras... Can be dome or bullet and hope they can be white or silver if possible. They need to cover an area around 20x20 and so I am thinking a lens around 3.6mm. Need to see at night but will have flood lights helping at night time or i could move the cameras further back and still run the 6mm vari focal whatever is better for me to accomplish. Thanks Shane or can i get some legit sites that i can look at cameras in my price range to pick from and be legit

Can i please get some ideas on quality cameras for my home.
pearlite TL replied to pearlite TL's topic in Security Cameras
I will check out some low light cameras but as i mentioned before all cameras except for downstairs will have sufficient lights. The motion lighting near the cameras will be dim at nights giving adequate light but as motion sets the flood light becomes bright so i would still get low light but i know the lighting will be adequate. other than your exview do you have any other suggestions. I would like a couple different options -

viewtopic.php?f=19&t=17732&p=105493&hilit=before#p105493 Check out these megapixel images, top images are "HIGH Res and around 540+ TVL" and the lower images are Megapixel. Click on the images to see the full res images. i know first hand what megapixel looks like as my friend has them in the college he works in and i cam to see. I like them alot but i do not need that much. i would like to stick with analog and just have the best picture that way but like i said i just wanna spend around a 1000 for all 4 cams -

Thanks for your advice on everything. I guess what it all boils down too is i would like to record the activity going on around my house. The DVR i purchased is not a hybrid and i do not care to do a megapixel camera. That being said do you have suggestions on the types of cameras that would be suit this system?? I am not looking for PERFECT but at least of some value. What is the best i can do for my house to where i will feel comfortable about it. The house is already equipped with every window and door contacts, motions and a monitored system. Cliffs: house is fully secured now Would like to have a camera system i can watch from the condo or just at home that has very good quality images and will last.
