I have a 1480 card system, I bough a Samsung PTZ SCC-C7455 camera, although this camera is not included in their list of supported list i did manage to get it to work under different Samsung device. But recently it stopped, and I cant control it anymore thru my gv box. I have other pelco protocol devices connected and those are working fine. Does anybody know how to control this camera from geo system, or maybe how to change the camera to pelco D, its not mentioned in the device manual.

Did that already several times. No luck.

I tryed to update the firmware on one of my Geo cameras and it failed, after I did a restore to default thru the web page on camera I cannot login to camera. Camera does not show on IP Device Utility between my devices, I try'd to reset it thru the camera reset button several times, I see the camera on its default ip 192.168.0.10 in my router among other connected devices, i can successfully ping the ip, but cannot connect to it whatsoever in IE nor in chrome etc. any help?

Is there even a repair center for geovision? they dont even have a number for customer support.... only live chat that's always offline...

I have the same BL120 cam and it got stuck on firmware update, I just reset it to default but now I dont see it in ip device util. when I ping 192.168.0.10 it returns properly but cant login to 192.168.0.10 webpage, dosnt show up on my geo when I scan... Any solutions?

Can I install this on a pc with no hardware card, I bought 2 geo ip cams and it came free with ver 8.4, would very much like to update and cant find the 8.5 nvr software.

Anyone noticed that on 8.5 the email notification come without the text, for instance if you can an alert without a picture you wont know why you got it. In the old version it used to say on top "This notice was invoked by camera 6" "Camera signal lost" etc. Maybe its something in the settings that they changed?

I have a outdoor camera that when it rains it detects as motion, and send me email all night long. So what i did was i set up a schedule from 8 am to 9 pm to record on motion and send emails, and from 9pm to 8am to just record on motion without the emails. Then just do start schedule and your all good.

I have a a GV 1480 up in a remote location, most of the time i monitor thru gv multiveiw. Is there a joystick that will work remotely with multiveiw, Also from time to time when i visit the system location i would like to take along the same JS and hook it up with my GV. Any thoughts of what JS will do it?

some people claim that using cat5 and convert it to bnc tend to loose quality is it true? Or its the same exact quality as coax rg59?

I have that problem all the time ( like every 2 weeks) where my system gives me that message and it aint working until i do a reboot. I have the latest version 8.3.3 Called up my supplier he claims that I need to reflash my computer and install geo before installing updates ant anitvirus.

I use my HTC touch pro2 to connect to my geo 1480 with port 8866. It works great. I still hate the software though. its stupid and very old fashioned in our sophisticated world. I have searched for 3rd party but with no luck.

I used compresion on my last job, and I'm having some problems with it. They are very hard to connect properly, and they dont work as good as crimp ons, only pro is that its tighter...

Hi, I have been sitting around here in the last few weeks and reading thru this forum with all its topics, it seems to me that this forum is blessed with lots of good people who are willing to give away their spare time to give advice and help out other people with all their issues. Its really very impressive.!!!! Saying that I figured why not shoot out my own problem and get an answer and live through the miracle myself, so here I come. I have a GV1480 pc card with a usb gv com box. I recently bought a Nuvico Z10 Ptz cam and for some reason nothing happens when i try to control it from the software. its set up to id address 1 Baud 9600, box is on com 2. I mapped the cam to the address but nothing doing. can anyone shed some light? FYI, I set up the protocol on the software to Pelco Dome. maybe its wrong I dont know what else to set it to.

Thank you for replying, that is exactly what i am doing now, but sometimes i wanna turn and zoom manually, and it just gets out of control,

I finally got it working when i tryd to set it to Pelco Spectra III, Only issue I have now is that when i control it over the internet it kind of moves to much like when i zoom in it zooms too much, when i move right it goes as far as 30-40 degree angle dunno why... On the system itself it works great though... Dose it have anything to do with protocols?

Its not working with pelco D 2400.

Hi try changing your baud to 2400. By pelco dome theres no option to 2400. I only have 9600 and 4800.
