NEED HELP with Dedicated Micro DS2A DX09C harddisk replacem.
teame6 posted a topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hello, Having the problem that on our 2ndhand D2SA DX09C DTVU the old harddisk crashed. switching on with the old hardisk lead always to: *** Software build is incompatible *** I could make a imagecopy of the disk, but there were already 3 files in the fat32, which a filesystemcheck renamed to xxx.chk. Then I stared with a new hdd, entering bootloader with up towngirl all seems ok, setting of IP worked ... I copied with ftp the new version on the harddisk (after format c: Y), everything seems OK, but after restart I always get the same *** Software build is incompatible *** I used two diff. harddisk, the same, I even found the very old firmware on the clone copy, (diskdone.zip) renamed it to disk.zip and installed it, same result. partition was made with type c using linux, formatted with the bootloader After putting via ftp the disk shows: ------------------------------------- C:\>dir TEST . 20 07-Jan-110 16:52 test BIN . 0 DISK .ZIP 20680748 07-Jan-110 17:13 DISK.ZIP 2 file(s) 20,680,768 bytes 1 dir(s) 80,018,702,336 bytes free installing seems to be ok, (extracting all files ...) I`ve even used another ide-cable as well, no change The funny thing is, that after installing - no matter wheter old or newer firmware, there seems no way to enter via RS232. my prompt is *> and any keypress leads to "Not logged in" trying at prompt with LOGIN --------------------------- *>LOGIN thekhyber Invalid login *>login towngirl Invalid login What i did not understand: on the old harddisk is a directory NVDATA with DSKMII.TXT (8 KB) and a subdir BB_RAM0 with SERS00 (1KB), sysdata (empty) USAG00 (1 KB) Does anybody know, if the NVDATA has to be on a new installed harddisk and if yes, the mentioned files are all ok or if there is something missing?
