I just bought two new Panasonic WV-CS954 cameras, both of which seem to have problems out of the box. I'll probably have to return them but I want to see if I am overlooking something simple. I pulled one out to test it and found that it will tilt and zoom but won't pan. After trying to figure it out with no success I decided to test the 2nd camera, which has the exact same problem. Also, they both seem to go through the same "cycle" when they are first turned on, it zooms in and out, tilts up and down, displays the model and serial number which I know is normal, but then it goes black and repeats that process about 3 more times. I'm not sure if that is expected behavior for that camera or not.
Anyway, I have looked through settings, read the manual thoroughly and I can't figure out why both cameras will not pan at all. It is strange that they have the exact same problem but I guess it happens. If anyone has any idea of something I'm missing before I send these back I would appreciate your input!
