I have read a little more into this thread and discovered your other posts concerning this very same issue. I have downloaded the uploader utility from the GE website, and as I understand, will need to install the program on a computer and send via network to the unit once the new HDD is installed in order to remotely connect? Am I correct in my analysis so far?
I have five of these units. I had to send one back to GE due to a problem connecting to the unit via the network. It took three months and $900. to correct the problem. They didn't change out the mother board or anything else as far as I can tell as I marked each component in some way. I am assuming it was just a software prob. Three months later it did the same thing and GE basically said screw you, send it back and we'll repair it again.
No wonder their stock is in the tank.
