Not really a camera housing but a custom built enclosure for traffic management. Hard to find the manufacturer, probably a system integrator which has designed his own enclosure but has nothing to do with camera housings manufacturing.... in fcat see the result: a cabinet!

QUESTION: Have you measured 28V with or without load (cameras) connected? Sounds strange that you have a 28VAC output power supply, so I was wondering if 28VAC is the output voltage without load, in this case the voltage will drop as soon as you connect the cameras, which is normal when connecting a load to a transformer. With camera connected you will probably measure less than 24V. Adding/removing turns on a transformer????

Not easy to find... but finally.... It is a "Rugged PTZ Camera" made in South Korea by Wonwoo Engineering. www.goodome.com. GG CCTV

Pelco Keyboard KBD4000 and protocols

Thank you very much! This is exactly what I need to be able to use that KBD4000 with my Pelco-D telemetry receiver. I will now try to get one of those converters! Thanks! -
Pelco Keyboard KBD4000 and protocols
GG CCTV replied to GG CCTV's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
Thank you for your advices. To get the correct chip and decal would be rather difficult for me while I have here a Pelco multiplexer MX4009CD which I can use as you suggest, in fact I had the same idea but then I realised that the data (to control P&T) outputs from the multiplexer are on coaxial and the protocol is Coaxitron (is it correct?), while my telemetry receiver fits Pelco-D protocol and has an RS485 port (twisted pair). Sorry I'm not familiar with the Pelco equipment, but with the stuff I have in hand it seems to me that I should convert the Coaxitron output from the mutiplexer into an RS485 Pelco-D twisted pair to connect it to my telemetry. Is that possible and how can I do it? Thanks for helping me. -
Hello! I have in stock a Pelco KBD4000 keyboard but never had chance to use it before. Now I have to control a variable speed Pan & Tilt through a telemetry receiver that fits Pelco-D protocol. My question is: Is it possible to connect the KBD4000 keyboard directly to the telemetry receiver? I've searched on the internet and found that the keyboard works with a protocol called Coaxitron so I have realised that probably I won't be able to use this keyboard now. I've found on the market several keyboards with joystick (like the Pelco KBD300A), and they can be connected directly to my telemetry receiver as they fits Pelco D protocol. But how can I use this KBD4000? (I just don't want to put it back on the shelf to keep collecting dust) Thanks! GG CCTV

Housing for Box Style Cameras In Corrosive Environment
GG CCTV replied to WRS_Mark's topic in Security Cameras
Thank you very much for the updating! Good idea to monitor the housigs and see what happens. If no sign of corrosion will appear in the next one year, then everything should be fine and the monitoring can be reduced, but if within one year some parts will corrode then better to change that housing for a stainless steel one. Consider that, if the housings are installed in different positions, even if in the same environment, they might react in a different way to the corrosive agents, so check regularly ALL the housings. I agree with you, next time go for the stainless steel and you will forget about it. The initial cost will be higher but how much does the monitoring activity costs??? And in case of replacement? In my opinion, when customer is not much concerned about costs, then better to give them the best! -
Housing for Box Style Cameras In Corrosive Environment
GG CCTV replied to WRS_Mark's topic in Security Cameras
Hi! It would be interesting to know what you have eventually installed: Stainless steel or aluminium housing? From my experience, in a corrosive environment, you should have installed the stainless steel housing, considering also that "this is one of those installation where the customer is not concerned about costs". The problem with corrosion is that it is simply unpredictable so if you can't afford any mistake, on a very critical installation, well the only choice is the stainless steel. I copy and paste from an article found on the internet years ago, this is interesting for those of you who are interested in corrosion: "To define the aggressiveness of a corrosive atmosphere is always difficult because the variables in play are very numerous. For example, the corrosiveness of sea water varies with temperature, turbulence, salinity, oxygen content, the presence or absence of pollutants". "The concept of the corrosiveness of an environment is a complex one, as is the phenomenon of corrosion itself. At times it happens that a material considered to be resistant corrodes quickly in an environment that is apparently only slightly aggressive; at others on the other hand, a material held to be of low resistance does not corrode in an environment that is apparently very aggressive. Sometimes small additions to a corrosive environment are sufficient to cause the behaviour of the material to change." I hope this is of assistance. GG CCTV -
Hi! This one seems to be the manufacturer http://www.ruosun.cc/Products.asp?MID=181&NID=419 but honestly it is hard to know if they are manufacturer or just a trading company. For sure the P&T shown in the above link is the same of the first post! And once agian the road brings to China! GG CCTV.

this link to the pt head is nothing like the one in the first post. Hi tomcctv, I must admit that you are right. Looking very well, the P&Ts are very different. The search continues!

You got it!!! Thanks!!!! " title="Applause" /> I was sure it was not a "Made in Italy" but couldn't find the manufacturer!!!
-
It looks like a Pelco? What is the Pelco model number? Can you post a link to the Pelco? Definitively not a Pelco, as you can also see from the link you have found. OK they are similar, but if you look well you will see that the first is just an imitation. From my experience with this kind of "fake" stuff I can say that quality is low if compared to the original. GG CCTV

I have found it here too: http://www.dswbrand.com/intelligence_pantilt.php even if they are not the manufacturer, certainly that P&T is not a Pelco or an Italian one! GG CCTV

I'm sure this is not an Italian product but it is probably produced somewhere in China. It looks like a Pelco, but it is clearly an imitation. On the same website there are many other products, like the camera housings and mounts, which are clearly imitations of famous brands well known products.
