Hi Guys, I need help with playback a recording file with Panasonic DVR, that was MPEG4 Movie format, I am helping with my friend, he was a cop, this recording file was evidence. I don't know model number of this DVR, I have tried for every type player software can not playback of that. I think has some decorder just can playback. Is anyone can help me with that? where can be find playback software for this MPEG4 file? Thanks!

never heared that, CNB has DVR? or they just cooperated with some KR company?

First, you should make sure your video cable haven't been too close with power line, there will has signal interference. Second, if your power supply was not stable, you should be use a UPS or somthing, then your DVR just can be working for long time. Also you need connect DVR with GND, it will be protect your DVR without striked by static.

As your words, I thought you haven't GND DVR to avoid the static. So probability your DVR mainboard has down. you can open the case of DVR, see is somewhere has burned, usually was capacitance. Bad situation is your mainboard was down, very bad was even your HDD was down too. All DVR need GND protection, if you are lucky, you can try to plug it again after doing that, but please sure you haven't got wrong power supply for DVR and monitor, is that you used LCD monitor?

By the way, they just has office in Shenzhen for domestic market, they overseas selling all in Hangzhou. And you said Active X problem and working on IE8, actully Active X was problem for a lot customer, they don't want this, that because they used Hisilicon SOC, that is the problem, and working on IE8, just need time. For personal opinion IE8 was really not stable, maybe the reason was we are in China, Microsoft need Chinese support

HI MindTwist, Glad to see somebody has asking DVRs from China finally, people also looking for DVRs from Korea and Taiwan AV TECH. Hikvision was most famous manufacturer in China, they are listed company, and biggest company doing DVRs in China. They have whole promotion channel in US and of course EU. They have Angent in each State in US, and most EU country has their dealer. And second company doing DVRs in China was DAHUA TECH, also listed company, but they still can not compare with Hikvision, I mean the promotion channel. Their DVRs quality is good, and price also very competitive than Korea and Taiwan's manufacturer. But, I think you should make sure what kind of DVR is suitable for your customer and what they request for. They have alot type, like encomic type, full function type and Full D1 type etc.

Not exactly, 1/3" SONY CCD, B/W with 600TVL more expensive than 1/3" SONY CCD 420TVL or 480TVL, but B/W camera no more used, people in Russian or east Europe like use B/W camera with high resolution.

Katie was right, I thought you may haven't access the Active X installation, you may adjust your IE cookie with "low" level, and open that again see if has topic on IE need access Active X installation. check it man!

These two camera come from China, if you need clear image in night, you can choose the second one, there has one color CCD board, another one with B/W CCD board for night. if you doesn't need so good image, and need cheaper one, you can choose first one. but it looks too long distance for you, 48 LEDs can be used for 30-40m distance, you just need 15m, you can choose more cheaper used 24 LEDs.

suggest you using that 480TVL with IR, cause 540TVL low illumination condition was worse than 480TVL in B/W, much more noise in image.

confused, HD1= Half D1, Full D1= D1 resolution. You also should concern display mode with D1 or playback mode with D1, palyback mode D1 was Full D1. Almost DVR display can achieve to D1, but playback always CIF(real time).

rory is right, if you have such high voltage too close with your cat5 will be got those bad interference.

Lars you are right, I knew what this kind of dvr from, so sad that you got probelm with that, but I can not say here, you just can use manually recording of that or timer recording.

If your two DVRs has loop output, you can use a 32in and 2out video matrix to output with single monitor, use a joysticker(keyboard) to control it.
