Hi, I am in the process of installing a CCTV system in a new unit at my place of work. I will need a simple 8 static outdoor camera set-up. I have been looking into an Axis system, with Axis P3343VE cameras. I know Axis are on the budget side, but how do they compare to, for example, a Sony system? Plus, If any one can suggest an alternative your input would be most welcome. Thanks, Guy.

Thanks for the swift reply Tom. I work at a small TV broadcast unit. We have 24 hour staff, who sit in front of a monitor wall where the CCTV monitor will be. We log all the CCTV in-house on PC loggers. The unit is 20m by 20m with two entrances (one main and a back entrance), a car park on one side, a poorly lit alleyway along the back side. I need 2 cameras to view people at the door and 4 to cover the area around the unit. Could you explain the benefits of an IP system, I guess this would enable remote monitoring. Thanks, Guy.
