Hello all,
I was hoping you guys can provide me with advice between the Geovision GV-1008 vs EZWatch Pro.
I do not know much about DVR's but have found good information from the EZWatch Pro site. I have read that the Geovision's are great, but I do not see much support on their website.
This system will be used at a shopping strip mall with 8 cameras on the rooftop (Day and Night use). Below are the criterias:
1. Install up to 8 cameras for a shopping strip mall
2. Be able to view them over the internet
3. Software should be easy to use/configure/maintain
4. Accept a variety of camera brands
Questions
1. How hard is it to configure the software to be able to view the 8 cameras remotely? On Windows 7.
2. Where can I look for cameras that will work with the Geovision? (EZWatch Pro shows many on their site so no need on theirs).
3. What brand cameras do you recommend for outdoor use? Night IR use?
4. Should I go with zoom capable cameras if i'm not sure about the needed zoom mm? Or is there a way to calculate the need?
5. Do you recommend a 12v camera box vs individual adapters?
Any help would be appreciated. I believe the geovision route would be the way to go, but the ease of the EZWatch Pro and support makes it hard to decide on. Ultimately I need the setup that will work better in the end with less issues.
Thanks,
Josh
