  1. I am based in the UK.
  2. Thank you my friend. Now, i only need to find a suitable switch box, I am plan to buy an 8 way one as i currently 6 internal domes and will purchase 2 external different cameras for front and back of the property. The internal domes are 12v DC 800mA. I'll try to purchase the other 2 cams with similar specs so that i can buy a switch box that is suitable for all of them. is ok if the switch box has more than 800mA isn't it ? It doesn't have to be exactly 800, it could be around 900 or 1000, but not less than the cameras, am i right here ?
  3. Ok, that should make installation easier you are right. So, i'll just look for RG59 siamese cable and female bnc connectors and i am good to go right ? I also need male plugs for the power cable end to fit in the camera, what are they called please ?
  4. Sorry, are you saying that i can send power to the cameras through the RG59 as well as receiving the signal in the DVR ?
  5. Thanks for the reply, i was looking at this precise type of cable, the RG59. So this is it for the cable, i'll buy the RG59 right ? What about the connectors, each end of the cable should have a male plug to interface with the females on both the camera and DVR, right ? Making them will not be a problem, thanks. About the power, yeah. i am looking at an 8 way switch box, 800ma for each output, as this is what the cameras require. Correct ? Thanks alot for the attention
  6. Hi every1! I would be very gratefull to have some wise help on installing a small and simple cctv system for my cafe bar. My questions are about what cable and connectors to use. I have 6 of these domes (sorry about the unregistered thing) And this DVR I need about 200m of cheap cable, doesn't need to be high quality. The connectors on my cameras are female, wich i supose it doesn't make sense because the cams are sending the signal to the receiver which is the dvdr so they should be male., but anyway, they are female and the connectors on the dvr are also female. Can you advise me on what to do regarding the connectors and the cable ? Regards Luis Medinas
