Been Lurking and reading posts for quite a bit and the info is overwhelming. Just when I thought I had the right system, something else in another post sounds better. Hoping someone can point me towards the right cameras/DVR for my application.
I'm looking for a quality residential 4 camera setup with DVR to record motion only. 3 will be outdoor and one indoor for my garage. Quality, camera longevity and clarity are important. 2 of the cameras will be placed under overhangs facing entrances and will be placed approximately 10-20 feet from the subject viewing area at a height of approx 8-10 feet. The only exposure to the elements for these 2 cameras will be temperatures out in PA - and it can get cold. They will also have little or no exposure to direct sunlight. I would also like the cameras to be small and not easily noticeable. Not sure if I need an adjustible lens, but detail and facial recognition is very important. day/night IR selectivity will probably also be needed.
The 3rd outdoor camera will be overlooking the front driveway and will probably be exposed directly to the elements and sunlight at a height of approx 12 feet overlooking 30-50 foot area field of view.
The indoor garage camera needs to be discreet as well and will be facing away from the garage door opening at my tool area and inside garage door entrance and will not be exposed to the elements or direct sunlight.
Sorry so long - just looking for the best advise for my application
