    What is wrong with IR cameras? I see the CNB VBM-24VF does not use IR. Why is this better? Does this camera need a bracket or can I mount it directly to a wall above a door? Is the power connection a pigtail or a plug?

    My guess is that I would want to see 6 feet by 6 feet at a distance of about 25 feet. I will check out the calculator. One of the models I am considering is DVC-CMD728HW. The specs may be a bit to good for my purposes. "680TVL 36IR Color Dome Camera, 1/3 inch Sony Super HAD CCD, Hitachi 14 Bit DSP, Starlight 0.001 Low Lux, 2.8~10mm Vari-focal Lens, SDNR, SBLC, 256 zone exposure, 256 zone ATW, Vandal Resistant, Weather Proof, Indoor/Outdoor, White" I don't know anything about LTS brand. - John

    I am looking for an outdoor camera for a back door. My requirements are as follows: 1. see a person about 25 feet 2. work outdoors 3. work in low light My idea was for an outdoor dome camera with a 10mm lens. Does this makes sense? I see that resolutions range from 400 lines to about 700. Does this matter? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. - John
