I have acquired a Pelco CM6700 Matrix Switch, but am missing the keyboard connector and two of the alarm/com connectors. Can anyone assist with sourcing these items, or point me in the right direction.? Lower Mainland, British Columbia. Thank you!

Hi folks, first time poster...long time reader of these forums. I am interested in the CNB VBM-24VF cameras, they seem to get good reviews here. My intention is to place them outdoors, some under eaves, but some directly wall mounted (or should I pendant mount? ). My confusion lies in their IP rating. I can't determine if they are appropriate to be used outdoors. Contacting the website that I am looking to purchase them from they say they are not weatherproof. Others here say they use them with out issue in the weather. CNB's website gives no rating, and as I've read in another post, the manual actually says 'do not spill liquids or rain.....' I live in BC (Lower Mainland) and we get a significant (understatement) amount of rain. Thanks in advance, and I look forward to your responses.

Suggestions for REAR VIEW camera for my car?
clearsignal replied to Toaster's topic in Security Cameras
I seem to recall a recent dumpster incident where all the camera's in the world couldn't help you out! -
Mine works perfectly! I can see the fog as though it was right in front of the camera!

I can view the page by using your link. The alternative is to (once on that page) right click on the image and get the image url. http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/1258/camera5.png is the actual image and embed it using the IMG function like this:

Yes they are. Try their US site http://www.cnbusa.com or more specifically http://cnbusa.com/en/html/product/product.php?seqx_prod=1077

100 sq ft centralized microphone. Need recommendations
clearsignal replied to rufunky's topic in General Digital Discussion
Wow, they take that pretty seriously. From what I see you're best to leave the mic at the Karaoke bar. Soundy: I've not been able to find anything for B.C. are there any restrictions on voice recording here? Are signs needed on personal property (for video only)? -

D1 @ 7fps OR CIF @ 30fps? Which is Better--is Bigger better?
clearsignal replied to Toaster's topic in Digital Video Recorders
I would lean toward the D1. You have a better chance of seeing and identifying the offender and that he pulled out a weapon. With CIF @ 30 he'll just look good doing it. Stick with the D1 -
24VAC to 12VDC converter
clearsignal replied to cglaeser's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
I think what Soundy is saying is that if you crack that wall-wart open, you'll likely find that 16V somewhere between the rectifier and the regulator. The output, if regulated, should be at 12v. -
Show web pages on CCTV -- the other direction
clearsignal replied to ppointer's topic in General Digital Discussion
Myself, I would create the page in a way that it refreshes itself every 'x' seconds, or minutes. Then I would find an old pc, anything capable of displaying a webpage. I wouldn't think it would have to be very powerful at all. I'd use a video card with video out to go to your cctv system, and alternatively there are converters that will convert your vga output to composite video. Good luck -
MIR-3000 & VBM-24VF, absolutely pitch dark without the IR on. It's a little pixelated taken off the network, but is incredible to view live (compared to the pitch black otherwise) You can see movement over 100' (guestimating, I haven't pulled out the tape) and has in my opinion a better than expected spread. I'll be going for another.

Q-See is the worst company...
clearsignal replied to Digitalbil's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Not knowing exactly what you need. I found this...more on the pro side of things. It may do what you are looking for with the right equipment. http://vidblaster.com/products/studio.html Just a thought, and I know it's too-little-too-late as you are already out of pocket for the dvr card. Good Luck. -

clearsignal replied to Digitalbil's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Same, I've never used them...likely never will. And I hope you got more than just a card for that money. But I don't believe Q-See is responsible for what you've described above. Go after the business that sold it, if that's at all possible...they are the culprits. -

Caution when buying from Surveillance-Video.com
clearsignal replied to SpyGuy10's topic in Security Cameras
I've just completed my 3rd order with them. They blundered on the first order and substituted for a different model. They redeemed themselves totally offering to take the cameras back and giving me a significant discount on the rest. I am totally happy with them. However I do make it a point now when placing orders to do it direct...and to specifiy that I can not accept any substitutions...and if they can't satisfy that requirement to contact me. Sorry you had a bad experience. -
I'd agree, definately protection of some sort. A Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) would be a great idea...even better if it had a power conditioner of sorts.

Non-IR camera for outside night vision - need for re-selling
clearsignal replied to SEANHAWG's topic in Security Cameras
Yeah, like Soundy said ^^ I can personally vouch for the CNB Mona Lisa Line, especially the 24VF, absolutely amazing in my opinion. I look outside and it's dark, late evening, but the spot monitor shows a daylight scene. Ordering another 4 this week! Should note that it does need 'some' light, but from what I've seen natural ir from the moon and stars allows things to be vaguely seen. -
Are you viewing the monitor output, or over the network? My DVR, when viewed over the network, shows motion when the dvr detects motion (only set for motion record) - but shows the last still image when the 'detected' motion stops. Just a thought.

Personally, I've never heard of the Intellisense 2361...system...Are you sure that's the model number of the alarm panel?
